has anyone heard any of the synchronized rockers songs. They're actually pretty cool. It's cool to see other Japanese bands re-make the pillow's hits. Bump of Chicken did a differant yet very good version of Hybrid Rainbow. Other songs, like Sad Sad Kiddie are hilarious. Sad Sad Kiddie sounds like it would be a girl in a club laying on a piano singing, its very light and slower than the original version, plus its only piano. I'm not sure if you would buy it, but if you have soul seek, i'd check it out. |
They're gonna lock this thread soon, arent they
I wouldn't think so. ![]() Anyway, Culen, I agree there. Their cover is among my least favorites on SR. Overall it's a decent album. It's fun, but let's just say I'm glad I downloaded it rather than actually paying for it. |

The only songs I'd consider noteworthy from SR are Sad Sad Kiddie and Vain Dog. The rest were interesting to hear, but they are mostly very forgettable. |
BUMP OF CHICKEN IS FUCKING OVERRATED
Pick any BUMP album. Listen to it from beginning to end. Still think they're overrated? Welcome to the lead ear club. Anyway, SYNCHRONIZED ROCKERS is a great album, but I am sick of it from listening to it to death. I highly recommended it if you are familiar with the artists. If you aren't, I can understand how you might find this album boring. |

i can't speak for all their work, but here's a couple pennies. i didn't like yggdrasil (recent bump of chicken album randomly downloaded) the first time i listened to it. i felt like it wasn't energetic enough. then i heard their hybrid rainbow cover, and was duly impressed. they made a beautiful version of a beautiful song in their own way. hearing that put yggdrasil in better perspective. so i gave them another listen and i kinda dig yggdrasil now. embrace, sailing day, and onaji doa to kaguretara... beautiful. but i definitely have to be in a particular mood to listen to it. anyway, i don't often listen to synchronized rockers by itself, because it feels uneven. |
