I really like Sawao's more suggestive lines, "As soon as the door closed, we loved one another."

Not in a perverted way... but... The only way I can describe how I feel when he writes things like that is like when I read a book by Haruki Murakami. In his novels sex is used as a liberation and acceptance of all emotional burdens (we're adults here, right?). None of his novels make any sense until the central character does something with a chick. I feel I understand more of what Sawao is trying to say when he uses more suggestive lines, like in Angel Fish and Mighty Lovers. I dunno about you guys, but when I've been in love, I've felt that type of overwhelming emotion. So it hits home when Sawao writes intense things like that.

Is it alright to talk about these things? If not, feel free to delete my post.

Most people here know Murakami very well. Go look at the "What are you Reading" thread. Anyways, the lyrics are pretty standard love song lyrics, which is no surprise. But some of my favorite pillows songs have standard lyrics, so that's not an issue.

Thanks for the translation zohrak (sp?). Marekenshin, can you offer some stylistic interpretation?

I get what you mean, he's not really using this line in a lustful or overly sexual manner, but in a more emotional one. This song really gets me excited. I can't stop listening to it, the lyrics are sad yet playful. Sawao really displayed a side of him we haven't seen in a long time.

This part in specific gives me a really strong case of deja vu. I know there's a handful of other songs with the same "holding hands while walking home" part. I'm sure he's talking about that same girl in all of these songs. I wonder what happened to them...

It would be interesting if he would be talking about the same girl over and over. That line that Raid points out reminds me of 'Girlfriend' when they held hands. But for him to sing about a girl for years now? It must have been someone special / amazing for him to write all those songs about. Or it might just be something he enjoys to put. I also get reminded of moon is mine and i know you.

I like this line, because I feel that way about a lot of girls that I've been with in the past/had a failed romantic interest in. This is a common motivator for people, I think. Failed past romances that once held such promise, love, or intrigue. So hearing this connects directly to that feeling, for me. It's a pretty good song.

Hmm... I wonder if all this excitement will propel you all into actually purchasing the single instead of clamoring for someone to rip it and post the link immediately after it's released.

It's got a "Let's See If That's True Or Not" vibe to me.

The voice sounds so fake at times that the emotion is taken away. If it was not good enough without pitch correction, they should have just done another take, or two, or fifty. The last couple of lines could have been very moving.

Still, it's a decent song.
