looking for opinions as far as getting something signed goes. my choices are happy bivouac, the busters on the planet dvd, and the domestic penatly life (which is still in the mail so i don't yet know how it looks autograph-wise). i'm leaning towards BotP with a silver or white marker, does that make sense?

from what i've heard from people who have been to ACen before, they often make people line up outside for concerts, which would suck considering it's supposed to be raining this weekend (it was pouring in chicago this morning).

get HB signed.

Uh, just don't get the domestic penalty life signed. That would make them think you just went and bought it in America before the concert to get signed. Happy Biviouc and Busters on the Planet would show that you are a big fan.

Well, I'll be trying to get in tomorrow. Hopefully it will work out. If not, than I'ts only like a twenty minute drive from the city and I'll just have to wait for the next time around.

man... i didn't preregister, so i had to do it at-con, which i went in for tonight. [i]four hour[/i] wait. some good conversation, yeah, but still, four hours. kinda sucked.

also, since i was in that line so long, i couldn't get my grubby hands into the first batch of friday concert tickets, so i'll have to try again in the morning.

i'm not sure exactly when i'll line up, but i'm determined to be in the frontfrontfront of the concert, so i'll probably be getting there 2-3 hours early.

I was kinda expecting it to be that bad.

I hope Kim is still able to get tickets. I know that travelling from CA to Chicago isn't cheap.

i think she said she had gotten tickets. i'm not sure about that tho. even if she misses the first, there is always saturday...

Terrible organization.
Stand in a line to get in line to register, than get in line to buy a badge, than get in a line to receive it. That badge allows you to get a ticket which entitles you to get in a line for a show that you have no guarantee of getting into.

Some bureaucrat just had an orgasm.

We didn't think that we'd get in, so we went to go get merchandise while a friend tried to sneak in. I thought it was hopeless, so I just left to go home and wait for tomorrow. Five minutes later he calls us from the concert. Sneaky bastard, I shoulda’ gone with him.

Previously, I was completely indifferent about anime, but I now hate it with every cell in my body. It really did smell. I'm not making this up.

the concert "went to 11." awesome stuff. i wanted to kill the bastard who got the set list though (he was walking around with it taped to his chest)

my badge name is Lo-Fi Boy and i went through the entire day with nobody knowing what that was, and fittingly enough, the first people to recognize it were... the pillows. i was near the back of the autograph line so we weren't being rushed, and while i was getting my BotP dvd signed, the attendant there saw my badge and pointed it out to sawao, who laughed and showed it to manabe and sato.

i didn't get a picture with them though, my camera-holding-person went before me, but they wouldn't let him back to where i was! some friends are going to tomorrow's autograph session, so i might actually go again to that one to a) get the picture and b) either get happy bivouac or my Lo-Fi Boy ACen badge signed.
