There's nothing inherently experimental about doing something that is new to you.
If it's new to you it is experimental because you've never done it.

Fail for contradicting yourself.

In a narrow view of the word yes, but if we use it sweeping the whole of current japanese music, the pillows haven't really experimented outside of their current niche.

Maybe, if The Pillows were from America, kids would be happier & more people would be playing music instead of being political
Yeah, being politically aware sucks!!!

...wait, what the fuck?
Well, being politically aware is awesome.

Being politically influenced by a musician is hardcore fail.

Edit: Especially since said musicians are generally not politically aware. They are just opinionated.

This entire argument is based on two people using two entirely different definitions of the word "experimental," both of which can be applied correctly.

Discovering things for yourself by testing new things is experimental. However, it has no impact on the community - but the individual continues to develop.

Discovering things that have never before been done is also experimental. Through this, the community as a whole can gain, make progress, and evolve.

So when it comes to individual development, the pillows are highly experimental. But when it comes to the music community, they haven't done anything that hasn't been done before.
