I LOVE liberty. It's really good. espically how sawao sings it. It's magical
I can't chose outta paper triangle and Thunder whales picnic. Theyre both so good.
I never like Happy Bivouac either, but i really got into it lately

I don't know about any of your friends, but with the latest Guitar Hero craze going on it seems everybody and their mom likes "Classic Rock", that and Dragonforce, so heres how I would do it:
1. Smile
2. Crazy Sunshine
3. No Self Control
4. Nowhere
5. Naked Shuffle
6. Bokura no Haree Suisei(TB Version)
7. One Life
8. That House
9. Winona
10. Swanky Street
11. That House
12. Wake Up, Frenzy!
13. Swinger's Night Club
14. Trip Dancer
15. Please Mr. Lostman
After making that list, I think its safe for me to say that I'd pretty much recommend this CD to any music enthusiast...

Well technically the pillows are classic rock. I mean in that they've been playing together since '89, and if Nirvana and Soundgarden are considered classic rock then so are the pillows.

Perhaps the most confusing exchange ever.

Oh but they are. The term classic rock is just a category for older rock music, not a genre. Like The Beatles aren't "classic rock", when they started they were pop rock, and then progressed to psychedelic rock/ experimental rock. Modest Mouse is alternative indie, Nirvana is alternative grunge rock, NIN is alternative industrial rock, and Decide is fucking metal.
Classic rock is just a category used to specify older bands that generally play(s [if they're still together playing music])(ed) the alternative music of the time and is not a genre.
In this case, being that the pillows formed before 1990 and their music could be to us (since you guys insist on calling them indie rock) considered classic rock. Correct me if I'm wrong (which I am not) but White Incarnation is classic rock yes? Is it a rock album? Indie is rock so yes. First criteria met. The album was made in 1992 right? That would make it classic. Second criteria met. The pillows are therefore a classic rock band according to today's American music standards, since you people refuse to see it from Japans point of view.
Just making conversation...

You're an idiot. God. Conversation over. I'm not even going to bother to respond to your babble.
What was this thread about? Oh yeah, mixes for introducing people to the pillows. Certainly not about how some people would (stupidly) define classic rock.

Too bad indie isn't a genre. Hey, if the pillows are classic rock, Green Day is too.

how do you define classic rock? classic rock is like....we're talking here pre 85' (and thats pushing it just to keep guns n' roses in the classic rock loop) where the hell did you get that the pillows could be considered classic rock? in that case michael jackson can be called classic rock too.
you, again, didnt think this through as you were "objectively" writing this, were you? goodness sakes no one is insisting on calling them indie rock! for fuck sake where did you even get that?!
please i beg you, for the sanity of this board, think your goddam tirades through. if they make an ounce of sense, it would make this board so much better in terms of understanding. you're like a maniac with a keyboard who keeps writing shit and telling yourself that "hell, im right, so all y'all go suck a cock." christ.
as for list wise....i dont want to name song names but i think it'd be a nice list of at least one song from every album in decreasing year order...that way they are kept familiarized (hey its ROSS!) and as we go back to the lower 90's pillows music, they can be comfortable with the transition (wow i like living field and PML! its such a different sound but we can see where some of their inspiration for their later albums came from!)....or something like that.

Thats why I said "Classic Rock", as in they don't really know what they're talking about. So I tried to pick songs with good solos and rock vibes.
