I didn't think I would be entering this contest, but I found myself working on a classical-ish arrangement of Beautiful morning with you. So there you have it.

Re: the pillows COVER CONTEST 〜ROAD to NIPPON BUDOKAN!!!〜
I'm doing Funny Bunny with Konno, a good friend of mine and TYMT IF he can get drums by the time we start recording. I have no idea if TYMT can even come over to my house by the time we start recording. But so far, me and Konno had a session a couple of days ago, and we were in fucking sync No mistakes, vocals and rythm are on lockdown, and Konno on his bass was absolutely I think we have a good chance of winning if we have a good quality recording. Which if I use my dads camera, will do more than okay. Again, good luck to all IM'ers. ONE OF US WILL WIN, I"M DAMN SURE OF IT!

Re: the pillows COVER CONTEST 〜ROAD to NIPPON BUDOKAN!!!〜
Double post:: OMG!!!!!!! I just got a message from the friend I made in Japan, she told me she recently purchased her Budokan tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She offered to buy a ticket for me but I checked my mail a little too late, like a 5 hours late!!! I sent her a reply and am HOPING TO GOD that she recieves it before its too late to get a ticket. I mean, yeah I'm hoping to win the contest, but this might be my only other chance of getting tickets to the show. I hope to god she gets my reply. I am more than willing to throw a 100.00 just to get a ticket. I feel really weak, like I'm dangling by a thread.

Re: the pillows COVER CONTEST 〜ROAD to NIPPON BUDOKAN!!!〜
Me and a friend are going to start filming in this afternoon. We should have our video up by Thursday.
I'm worried that other competitors will spam people's videos with a ton of bad reviews and comments just to increase their own chances of winning. As much as I want to win, I could never do that to someone else.
Is anyone else worried?
Jesus Christ, dude.
I still find it hard to believe that the pillows are judging this based off of solely the comments left. Sure, it'd be a good idea to consider them, but... no. Maybe it just seems that way because their English is not really "complete". EDIT: Damn! That Monster C.C. cover is sounding pretty damn good. The singing off a bit, and the variations are OK.

It was done well, the mixing could have been better, but I don't like the new direction they gave it.

No intonation... he couldn't go any higher, and it was just off key. The Girl's Don't Cry one was a good attempt... my problem with it is that it seems to focus more on the video than the music. The lyrical translation to English failed. Also, the voice is muffled up too much.

Yup. Right now I'm rethinking my choice, I want to do something different now. Hopefully I can finish it all in time.

The Girl's Don't Cry one was pretty good, but I didn't like the shoegazey singing style or the fact that the lyrics were done in English. The Monster C.C. one sounded fantastic on everything except the vocals...I did like the extra guitar line he added to it though.
