Oh shit, I think you were standing behind me. And then I moved to get a better view and you politely told me to get the hell out of your way. Yes/no?
That made me lol. So, Melonhead, fess up.
Edit: Mare, I think somebody said it was around 30 minutes. I just hope it isn't like that for the Blender.

Well sounds like you guys had a good time. I'm sure their shows after SXSW will have more songs, and hopefully some newer and LGTY stuff. You'd think they'd play most of the stuff that's been up on their MySpace over the past few months though, i.e. Tokyo Bambi, Scarecrow, Youngster, etc. All ready got Ladybird Girl apparently.

They said the pillows played about an hour; I was asking the length of the entire show.

I never told anybody to get out of my way, haha. Mostly it was me just jostling about and craning to get a good view of Yoko in the left section of the theater.
Also, another thing I liked about the concert (it was from around 7:30ish to nearly 11) is that little thing that Manabe did while they were tuning up for the encore performance thingy:
A|--------------2--------0----4--2-----
E|---0--3--4-------4-------------------4
That sounds like it. Anybody else hear that?

DOUBLE POST:
When I say 7:30ish to 11, I mean the duration of the entire concert.

Concert started 'till 8. doors opened at about 7:20, later than what was supposed to. The Outline got 30 mins. noodles around 40, and pillows got about 50 mins.

The doors opened a little after 7, but no concert I've ever been to has opened their doors on time. The Outline was pretty good, and so were Noodles, but we all know why everyone was there. Once the pillows came on, I was able to make my way to the middle of the stage, about 8 or 10 feet back, so it was a pretty good spot, minus the man-sandwich that put me in.
Personally, I don't like when everyone complains about, "hey they didn't play this song", or "they didn't do any of their old stuff, I'm angry!" I think someone said earlier that the majority of pillows fans associate them with FLCL, and they are playing those songs because THATS WHAT GOT THEM FAMOUS. I would have loved to see some of their old stuff too (I yelled SUNDAY, but I don't think Sawao heard me ), but honestly, this is my first chance getting to see them, and I thought they were truly amazing. By far the best concert I've ever been to, not that I'm biased or anything...
I think the pillows played a little over an hour. They came on a little before 10, and they finished at 11, almost on the dot. Great stuff though, especially the face Sawao made after chugging the beer he had left. I was also surprised by the wide age range that was there. Really old and really young, and everything in between, the pillows are for everybody!

could it be this?

that's the intro to a certain song, it sounds kind of similar I guess. idk, I wasn't there.

Personally I really liked the show, i agree with most people on the fact that they should have played different songs and not just the FLCL tracks. I really like the songs don't get me wrong..(lol i mean i kept singing along with them!) But i was really hoping for them to play new songs and some old of course..I was really hoping that they would play Scarecrow or Tokyo Bambi. But all in all the show was great!
Manabe did look like he was having the time of his life on the stage. XD he was having soo much fun it was so cute!! hehe Sawao look like he was having fun as well..but i really couldn't see Jun that well and same thing goes for Shin. By the time i made it to the front all my attention was on Manabe. XD i just couldn't keep my eyes off of him since he was like the happiest of them all.
Hehe and it was a good thing i was in the front row..XD i was able to get one of the guitar picks Manabe was throwing out at the crowd!!

Haha, speaking of Manabe using unreleased (?) songs for tuning up, anyone notice in the LGTA DVD that when they're doing the sound-check, Manabe plays BOYS BE LOCKSMITH.?

Did anyone feel like punching the group that yelled stuff like "Reading Rainbow!" and "Scientology Sucks!"?
Oh yeah, does anyone know if there were any sizes other than large for the noodles shirt, because the guy told me there was only large, and that didn't really make sense to me.
Manabe was really awesome after the show. He played my guitar for awhile and then signed it.
You're the kid with glasses? I was standing outside with my acoustic and got it signed. I saw some kids getting the Pillows fanclub CD signed, and some with Kool Spice. I have a long story about the concert, but I'll post it tomorrow.
I wish they played some old music. They should ask for requests from the audience. I was humming Kool Spice that night. 12:30? We were busy getting lost in the freeway at 12:30.
I shouted out Kono yo no Hate Made, Strange Chameleon, Please Mr. Lostman, Shiroi Natsu, and Pantomime. But they didn't play any of them. I laughed when everyone started shouting at Sawao to chug his drink, and his reaction to that FLCL kid in the cat ears throwing his t-shirt on stage[I think it was the same kid who came out with his acoustic after the show and started playing Britney Spears and Pokemon songs].
One Life, The Third Eye, and Hybrid Rainbow were the best.
