Did anyone catch the acoustic version of Boat House?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=aZL-NBjB9oA
(at around the 3 minute mark)
Sadly it's not the full song and for half of the song there's a voiceover, but still pretty good.

He uses an acoustic guitar for the live performances of the song anyway. Which is better because it has the other parts making the song more interesting and awesome, and he tends to get more into the songs live, it seems.

I just bought the album and got it a few days ago, so I've been listening to it nonstop for the past few days. I would place this on one of the pillows' top albums. I was not a huge fan of My Foot, so I was reluctant to buy this one, but goddam! Wake Up Dodo, Scarecrow, Private Kingdom, Boat House- just amazing. I love it all, just thought I'd say.

This man speaks truthfully. MY FOOT had no outstandingly memorable songs on it for me except MY FOOT and Sayonara Universe.

Anyways, My Foot live in that concert video was really amazing. Sato was smiling, the crowd chanting, "hey! hey! hey!" the, "Boku wa MADA *white lights* *jumping crowd shot*" was fantastic, everything was just right. Midnight Down was also a show-stealer.
Most nearly all of the WU!3 songs are great live, but Scarecrow still sounds strange. Sawao just yells into the mic the whole time. It works for the climax of the song, but it's awkward with all the emphasis on projecting his voice, when it would be better to sing it sweetly. I love Scarecrow, I just wish he'd perform it closer to how the recorded version is.
Also, Skinny Blues is pretty cool live, though I don't care for the album recording. Propose is ace, SIRRIUST PLOWN is funny and chill, Private Kingdom and Pleasure Song were great. Youngster and Century Creepers! <3
During Sweet Baggy Days, Shin briefly thought about what his golden years would be like. First he tried to take it in stride:

Then he became a bit apprehensive:

Then the thoughts of his coming future made him a little sad:

But he became accepting of his fate and put on his best face:

I'd say Nonfiction and Sayonara Universe are my favorites from My Foot, but all the songs just seem so bland to me, like they aren't in it at all.
Sawao's voice sounds great in Wake Upx3, Manabe rocks hardcore with his solos (seriously, he must be listening to Van Halen or something. It's good to hear him really let loose on the guitar), and I don't know anything about drumming, but it sounds good I guess, there is even a little bittle for Jun to flare his bass skills.
It just blows My Foot out of the water in so many ways.

I couldn't disagree more. While WUx3 is definitely better than GD, I just can't say it's better than My Foot. After hearing MF, I was expecting the next album to follow in it's footsteps (no pun intended). I was a but dissapointed with it though, the only real stand out tracks for me being Boat House and Century Creepers. The only songs in MF that didn't really grab me too much were R&R Sinners, Air Resister, and Degeneration. Everything else was pretty amazing though, especially The Third Eye. I just felt like WUx3 was kind of a step backwards, and now with Ladybird Girl...
Don't get me wrong though, WUx3 isn't a horrible album by any means, but I was just expecting a lot more after they put out a great album like MF.

I know I'm late... but I'll just say this concerning WUx3:
The REAL album doesn't start until after scarecrow. Seriously, Wake Up! Dodo-Scarecrow just fill like filler to me. I've been trying to like them forever, but I just can't get into them. Propose is just annoying to me. Youngster is filler, and Scarecrow is good, but still it was a single and it's always had a foreign feel for me on the album. Now, Boat house is an EXCELLENT song, I love it fully. After Boat House it's off and on until I get to Private Kingdom. Private Kingdom is refreshing in its mellow sound, and it's chorus is pretty intense but still in that laid back fashion. The solo is pretty cool too. Of course, Century Creepers is the bread winner for the entire album. I think CC is one of their best songs, and I like it almost as much as I like My Foot (song). Seriously between My Foot (album) and Wake Up! x3, Century Creepers and My Foot (song) are my two favorites. Anyways, Sweet Sweet Baggy Days has a VERY annoying title, but it is a decent song. Of course, the ending is awesome, with Sawao yelling "SWEET BAGGY DAYS!" at the top of his lungs, and I think it finishes the album on the right tone.
Anyways, concerning the greatness of My Foot, well... let's just say My Foot is my 7th favorite album (after TYMT, LF, PML, LB, HB, RH). My Foot is seriously just a masterpiece (IMO), I can't find anything wrong with that song. It's just... perfect. It's solo is one of the best solos the pillows have put out. I'll admit, RR Sinners, Air Resistor, and Degeneration were kinda meh, but Mighty Lovers was awesome, and the Third Eye is just awesome. March of God is one of my favorite instrumentals, and yeah... So Long Universe is cool too. It's a really strong album, and it is definately one of their best (IMO). Of course, it isn't perfect like Thank You, My Twilight (which is my FAVORITE pillows album), but it was still extremely good, and My Foot is one of the best songs ever written, seriously.

Well, I'm pretty sure 90% of pillows fans disagree with you there, man. Youngster is like the song Runners High, it's upbeat, fun, and catchy as shit. I'm not even going to get into the rest of your criticisms, let it just suffice to say that I totally disagree.

That, and, Mighty Lovers has a really lame chorus. Really.

Lyrically, maybe, but the tune was really cool.

I have to agree, there. Lyrics wise and melody wise.
