I agree that the guitar is a tad too strong in sweet baggy days. But the vocals are great and I find myself listening just for the outro.

The vocals on this album are

On another note, what's the third foreign-language-greeting in Serious Plan? There's "guten morgen" and "buenos tardes," but the last is somewhat unrecognizable.

No, it is either polish or czech imo. He says "Dobry Wieczor/Vecór". Nothing close to French, trust me. :)

Youngster is a great song too spring on people for Karaoke.

It seems like alot of these songs would sound amazing live even though sawao couldnt use the little voice augments he does in some of the songs.

my gripes so far.

A: Boat House woulda been better acoustic imo.
B: Guitars on century creepers needed more presence.
C: Pleasure Song's chorus coulda used some of the angsty vox sawao developed a taste for in this album.

Wouldn't have matched the lyrics.

I think the album is on par with My Foot, maybe a little better. Private Kingdom is easily the best song. I really agree with GR about the lead/solo in Sweet Baggy Days. I also thought the guitars were just too loud in general on that song.

Listen to it and decide for yourself. I think it's better.

Well, I finally listened to it the other day.

First impressions-

1. Sawao's vocals are FINALLY decent again. He has a lot more emotion now than he has had in the past couple of albums. And that's definitely a good thing.

2. Another thing I immediately noticed was that Jun's basslines are reallly good on this album. They're pretty interesting to listen to.

I really like the title track, Boat House, and Propose.

Everything else is kind of hit-and-miss, but it's better than My Foot, IMO.

This album sounds pretty good to me. Better than My Foot at least.

Also, don't know where to ask this, I haven't been on in a while... anyone got scans for this CD? I'd love to get some for it.

Nothing really interesting inside the booklet, except for the lyrics.

I guess some pictures are somewhat... funny? :|

Yeah... Well, I didn't, ehem, purchase the CD and I would feel cooler if I had images of the stuff on my computer. Call me silly, but If anyone has scans, I'd love 'em.
