I think BOAT HOUSE should've been the last track since it's starts off with saying "Sayonara Bye Bye"...

The whole mood of that song is amazing 8)

"]My favorites are "Wake up! dodo", "Scarecrow", "BOAT HOUSE", "The Pleasure Song", "Skinny Blues", "Private Kingdom", "Century Creepers", and "Sweet Baggy Days".
That made me lol.
My favourites are: "Wake up! dodo", "Youngster"( Really! It grew on me, it's so.. Youngstery? WAKE UP!! ;) ), "Propose", "Scarecrow", "Boat House", "The Pleasure Song", "Serious Plan"( Damm I love whistling! I'm doing it myself when listening :D ), "Skinny Blues", "Private Kingdom", "Century Creepers" and also "Sweet Baggy Days"(Although I don't feel the solo is complete, I just want more of it, but the overal feel of song rocks, and slow down/speed up at the end is awesome). :groovin:

kamkor, did you seriously just list out every song as your favorite song?
I gotta say, 80% of the lead in Sweet Baggy Days was worthless. Liked the song, but Manabe was just very meh on it.
How so? I actually found that the main guitar line in Sweet Baggy Days to be awesome. That sort of very simple movement of intervals around the melody and chord progression is something I've been playing with a lot for the last month or so, and I think that song is a good example of how to do it. The opening riff/chorus lead is especially awesome, very reminiscent of the simple but awesome stuff from shiroi natsu.

If it wasn't so repetitive I'd say the same :|

I still say Sweet Baggy Days is the weakest song on the album. The rest are good, IMO, and SBD isn't bad, I just like it less. I can forgive Serious Plan for the boring chorus because I find the verses so cool, but nothing about Sweet Baggy Days stands out to me.

You guys are going to hate me for saying this, but when I first heard the intro and chorus of Sweet Baggy Days, they reminded me of Empty Girl by noodles.

Actually it does have a sort of noodles feel to the guitar tone.

Shiroi's lead:
-reserved
-calm, peaceful
-MUCH better harmony between lead and rhythm
-complements the overall feel of the song perfectly

Sweet Baggy Days' lead:
-too loud, cutting, and nasally
-not fun to listen to
-mediocre solo
-"awesome"? Seriously?

Subjective, yes yes. But really now..

Actually, one of the main things that I payed attention to when I first heard Sweet Baggy Days was the lead. And that's not a bad thing. I'm with Mare in thinking SBD has an awesome, simple lead.

I guess so  But I can't help it. I somehow really like this album.

Also I agree with Mare and Mr.Lostman. SBD has simple, yet cool lead. I don't really care if Manabe plays something complicated as long as it sounds cool and fits to the song. Actually SBD imo is very "Easy going/relaxing" song. And relaxed playing fits to it, imo. I mean, not like I'm saying it can't be better - the lead - but I just think it fits very well.

Anyone have this thing in .mp3 format? I can't play .m4a cause I don't have realplayer on this computer, and it's the one I'm stuck with for the time being. If someone would be willing to AIM it to me, that'd be great.

I don't know if anyone posted it or not, and I don't want to have to wade through all the other pages.
