Good post, but going to have to disagree with this one. For me, Kono yo no Hate Made wins for how the song finishes. As for Monster CC, I would agree with the album version. But listen to the version from Blue Songs with Blue Poppies....that's some good shit.

Yeah man I agree, Swanky Street is waay overrated.

Strange Chameleon: Good song, but I don't think it's anywhere near the best on PML. Ice Pick, Trip Dancer, Kanojo wa Kyou, Swanky Street, and Suicide Driving are all songs I'd put ahead of Strange Chameleon, to be honest. The lyrics are really good but the song's too drawn out, especially the ending that just drags and drags. And for having such a long solo, it's nowhere near one of my favorites.

Hybrid Rainbow: I am sick to death of this song. I only sort of liked it to begin with, but hearing a million different versions of it really wore me out. I don't think it's bad, I'm just really, really tired of the lead guitar part and the chorus in particular. "CAN YOU FEEL!?" No Sawao, no I can't.

I like White Summer, etc., but it's not perfect. My favorite part of the song is the instrumental part before the singing kicks in, and everything leading up to the chorus. Manabe's buzzy, thin-sounding solo has always just kind of annoyed me, and I think he needed some better chords to play over to make a really good one. Sawao's vocals at the end don't do much for me either.

Monochrome Lovers, Native World, No Self Control, and Sunday are not nearly popular enough to qualify for this list. And though I love Number Girl, I can understand why people wouldn't like them - you can't listen to a band like that seeking the same sort of thing you enjoy in a group like The Pillows. Also, AKFG is totally overrated, Blue Train is the only song I like by them.

To add insult to injury, I don't think anyone in Noodles is attractive at all. You'll see far prettier girls than them walking down the sidewalk in Morioka every thirty seconds. I know I will get flamed to death for this, but Hisako Tabuchi isn't that great-looking either. I'm starting to think you dudes who drool over girls in rock bands haven't seen a pretty Japanese girl in real life before.

Oh my god, I'm going to get so much crap fo this post, but here goes:

1. Swanky Street - I love the song. I was going to say that there isn't a pillows song I don't love, but then I remembered I Can Hear Jingle Bells...I sort of skip that song whenever it comes up, although it IS really funny to laugh about. But in regards to Swanky Street, just because I like it doesn't mean it's one of my favorites. More than that, most people on this forum seem to treat Swakny Street (and a couple other songs on this list) like you're not a REAL pillows fan if you don't like the song. That's why it's overrated.

2. Please Mr. Lostman - [i]See Swanky Street[/i]

3. Strange Chameleon - See the two songs above, but there's an added bit. Like with Instant Music, I can't hear the song without thinking of the music video. However, with Instant Music the video was WTF, but I could still laugh at it. The music video for Strange Chameleon was just...well, creepy...

3. Ride on Shooting Star - Overrated, and I think everyone knows why *cough* FLCL *cough*

4. Hybrid Rainbow. Again, great song, but some people play it as if it were the ONLY pillows song ever...I just prefer more of a balance.

Hate me for this list if you want, but know this: I know what songs I like, and it's entirely a subjective matter. Some people here get crazy (either joking or serious) about what pillows songs others are into, but everybody's got a right to their opinion. If you can't get enough of Swanky Street, that's cool man. I'll rock out to Swanky Street too. Point is, we're all crazy about the pillows at least.
