Also, what they really ought to start doing is more single/album versions of tracks.
Yeah, I was thinking about that too. It's so cool how the two versions of Patricia are COMPLETELY different.
You mean, an album with three holes in it of "OLD CONTENT"? The whole "single, single, album, single, single, single, album" system works well, but for fans who eat this shit up consistently (us), when the albums finally come out and we see two or three tracks (out of what, 11?) that we've already heard a lot of...it's a little disappointing, wouldn't you say? I mean, it's a near guarantee Ladybird Girl, Tokyo Bambi, and Tokyo Bambi will be on there....
You mentioned tokyo bambi twice.
But they might release those tracks in the singles into the album. For those that didn't purchased the singles. (me ) So it could be a good thing to those who couldn't aquire them. Yet a bad thing to those who already own the singles.

Re: New Animal PV
I'm definitely happy The Pillows are still making great music! However, I'm sort of hesitant about this... They said they would make their music more "rock", did they mean mediorcre. Maybe this change is not for the better. Lately, I've noticed that they're music has become less unique and more generic. For example, the difference in genre between Living Field to Please Mr. Lostman to Little Busters was epic. However, Good Dreams to My Foot to Wake Up were just the contrary. Then again, I could be wrong. Maybe this lack of flavor was just a phase and soon they will come back even stronger. At least I hope they do. Wouldn't just be lovely for The Pillows to go back to their earlier work and generate material of that sort? From what I heard, New Animal sounds a lot like the rich distorted melody of Little Busters and Runners High rather than the bland major key songs of Wake Up. Could this be the dawn of a new era? I hope so...

Including the term "major key" in your criticism doesn't have much impact - there are about five pillows tracks that aren't in the major key.

Anyone get any word on what V that is? I've never seen them like that, it's not even half black and hlaf white, it's just like white, with a minor part being black.

I disagree.

Stop dreaming. They aren't the same people they were ten years ago. At least, Sawao isn't. They've changed. Even if his music does began to sound like the older stuff, it won't be like the older stuff.
And also, NO. I don't want them to go back to what they sounded back during RH, LB, and HB. I want them to build on the past three albums, and release something that can be amazing.

The bold, I agree with. The italics... I don't really agree with. A lot of the Wake Up Songs (Wake up Dodo and Youngster) were kinda happy go lucky, but hello it is the pillows we're talking about. That kinda' thing isn't exactly new to us as fans. I think you need to stop comparing their new stuff to the old stuff, or else you're going to end up disappointed. I tried that, and it worked for Good Dreams, My Foot, AND Wake Up x3... I can appreciate them a lot more.
Now, as for the rich distorted melody, I agree. There are some strange third and fourth intervals in there, and they are very clever indeed. I think this is the strongest single yet (and I haven't even heard the b-sides yet).
EDIT: As with the eras, I'm not sure. According to the next album, we can decide on that.

Mare and I figured out it's either an Edwards model Sawao could have had custom ordered or it could be a Gibson Flying V with a custom paintjob.

Ah, it's very unique. I like it. Half and half would have been drop dead gorgeous though.

Re: New Animal PV
OMG I'm so amped to see this. I'm going to the Public Library after school, I hope they don't have Youtube blocked for any reason. I've come back around on Ladybird Girl. The live on the Wake Up! DVD really nailed it for me. If it were to be like GR said, with Tokyo Bambi, Ladybird girl, New Animal and And Hello! on Pied Piper, then I wouldn't really mind, because they are all great. Personally, I'm not certain that will be true; I can see New Animal on the album, maybe Tokyo Bambi, but I seriously doubt LBGAH. Whatever; we'll find out, and hopefully, it won't matter.

I agree with this. I think LBG was kinda' "a long time ago", and it would be very lame if it showed up on the album. I don't think the pillows are going to go there, xD.

Re: New Animal PV
Sawao's new hair and guitar look stupid as fuck. I'm not sure what message he aims to send by wearing a sweatshirt while sporting a hairstyle that takes half an hour to prepare in the morning.
That out of the way, the song is pretty cool.

Re: New Animal PV
thats interesting because thats kinda what my hair would look like if I didnt wash the pomade out of it in the morning or even take a shower, just sorta rolled out of bed. Especially if it is the night after alot of drinking, drugs, crying, and sloppy secks.
Not that I do all those things of course
and if I had longer asian black hair.
