I told you he looks like Nishi from Gantz. You didn't wanna believe me.
...Not sure if I'll be able to unsee.
If there is some sort of fan voting for next time, maybe we should pool together for a nice, realistic option - i.e. something like Strange Chamelon.
Because... Well, for one, it might be a good idea to find something widely agreeable to help its chances of actually being played... But also what's the point of trying to force them to play something they rarely play in Japan? I'd shit my pants if they were to play THAT HOUSE, but how realistic would that be?
Really I'll just be happy if they get into a groove of simply changing out a pair of older songs of their choice every time they come without having to comply with the word of fb fans. (Like this time they played Rookie Jet and Swanky Street... for most of us :( Next time just let them play Strange Chamelon and something like Kono Yo Hate Made and then just continue torotate around whatever non-FLCL, non-super new stuff they feel like).

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
It's a shame that they played Comic Sonic instead of the obviously superior Goodbye Present. They played it in a live I went to in Japan a few weeks ago and it was fantastic live.
Also why Dance with God and Mr. Droopy instead of tracks from Horn Again? I heard Lily, My Sun a few weeks ago live and that was great too. Would've liked to hear that and Nobody Knows What Blooms.
Sawao obviously has no understanding of which songs of his are good and which aren't.
Also for the love of god stop writing songs in English they are terrible and I have no idea what you are saying. Thanks.

Lol. Well, Dance With God seems like a pretty standard opener for them nowadays in Japan? Mr Droopy was a bit of a curveball, though - Better than Doggie Howl, but curious why they didn't touch Horn Again.

So they haven't played anything from Horn Again the last two shows, have they? I suppose Doggie Howl isn't a loss at all, but I don't see why Movement or Give Me Up can't be included.
I'm fairly sure I met/saw some of you during the show. Cloudy_One, I'm pretty sure I remember you if you were the one in the Manabe Spot. Shook hands with you after the show while talking of concert ettiqette. Was also in a Hybrid Rainbow 3/4 sleeve and glasses.
That was me, I think (short brown hair, She is Perfect shirt w/Buster-kun towel on), you were the guy who almost got his glasses kicked off by a crowd-surfer, right? We had a cool crowd of real Busters up there, it was a pleasure seeing so many hardcore fans at the show, especially in comparison to the Slim's and Glass House shows from previous years.

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
Alright, so I was at the Austin show. The setlist was basically exactly what you'd expect, except we got Doggie Howl (and Swanky Street). I was up on the second story balcony thing, on the couch. I ended up getting my PML signed while All Ages were playing, because the two guys I was sitting next to turned out to be American staff of sorts. They both spoke Japanese and one of them was being a camera man. In exchange for saving the other guy's (the one who wasn't a camera man) seat, he took my CD backstage and got all three to sign it. I was telling him how I'd heard people were having to like, rush their van for autographs, and he offered. I did have to keep saving the guy's seat though, but I also got to talk to a few other people who turned out to be promoters and stuff. They were explaining how Sony, who owns the label, needs positive feedback to...keep sending the pillows back to the US. Which might be why they told us to be there at 6 and let the line go all the way around the corner before letting us in. All of them asked me how I found out about the show, and I told them IM...and Facebook. The camera man guy also told me about this concert he's trying to put together, and I think he even said the pillows signed onto it. It's going to be called "Samurai Night" and will include 4 other bands or so. I offered my services as camera man or something if he needs. Sooo...yeah, we'll see if that ever happens. Also that's pretty kick-ass that they actually timestamped your PML!
"Samurai Night" Don't know if want Also that's pretty kick-ass that they actually timestamped your PML!
I think it was an alternative to signing my name. I didn't ask for it, but the guy was all, "who should they sign it to? And you know there's four of them, right?" He apparently wasn't a fan and neither were his friends. The camera man guy was though. I got to talking to him about Living Field and stuff.

"Samurai Night"

Kind of my reaction too. On the other hand, his intention is for it to be a 2000+ person show. Because Speakeasy was fucking tiny. I think the maximum occupancy was 400 tops.
Cool, I just got back, although I didn't meet the whole band I at least said hi to them when they came and got a pic with Shin... On another note, I met a fan that happened to know the pillows while I was there... I didn't remember his name or username on instant music but he said he used to post here... He gave me one of Manabe's picks, so I guess that doesn't count for me getting one since I missed the ones thrown close to me...

Samurai Night sounds weird. Detroit7 is decent, haven't heard of the other bands though.

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
wtf is this Samurai Nite thing? It doesn't have a date listed for the show, and it looks like it's taken them since last fall/summer to get to the point they're at right now, plus all their pictures of shows are from Japan Nite shows. It looks not-so-legit at the moment, so if that's some real shit going down, dude needs to step up the professional look of his page.
