Propose...
You know why I don't like Runners High? Along with the goofy songs on there, it's that muddy RURURURURURU shit that's banging out of Instant Music, Wake Up! Frenzy, and Sad Sad Kiddie. It's BORING how it just PLODS along, it doesn't work for me. Yes, it works very well on the Little Busters stuff, but it doesn't instantly make everything better. I like Propose on the album because I can hear three seperate fucking instruments, it's easy to follow the bassline which is bitchin', and it's awesome to groove to. I know you guys really like to have ROCK OUT FUCK YEAH DISTORTION on a lot of songs, but this one doesn't need it. We'll all rock out to it live in concert and love it, no problem. But I don't like rocking out when I'm sitting on my ass at home, I prefer .
END.
edit:
Also, Youngster was looping in my head on the ride home from work. Very much . And for Serious Plan, I just had the biggest grin on my face RIGHT NOW listening to it in 320 kb/s, add a point. 8/10

I don't think it's very good, but Bad Dreams and Degeneration are much, much worse.
Why all the fussing about the amount of distortion on Propose? Most bands - including the pillows, at times - use way too much, so I'm sure it's just fine the way it is. I haven't heard the live in a really, really long time, but I seem to recall the recording quality being so bad that you couldn't really discern anything in the song.

Right. Sometimes more distortion is appropriate, sometimes less is. In THIS particular case, as I've listened to the live of PROPOSE, I've decided that a bit more distortion is appropriate for the song. Yeah, sometimes the pillows overuse distortion: BOYS BE LOCKSMITH comes to mind.

Since everybody already has written a full review and everything. I'll just make a general opinion because I agree with most of you.
The album sounded like a mix of Smile and Penalty Life which I thought was pretty cool. Even though there was only two songs that had it, the random whistling was great. I think I heard a phrase from Bokura no Hare Suise in Private Kingdom and that gave me nostalgia . Century Creepers made me think of The Pixies in a way. Sweet Baggy Days toward the ending after the pause, sounded like Secret Slogan to me.
Overall Im just happy that I like most of the songs and it kept my interest.
Oh and the way Sawao said "Buenos Tardes" was sweet.

Thank you. After all the 9's and 10's this song was getting I was feeling left out. This song is what happend when you think of a decent enough riff but can't work it into an actual song and you get a 2 minute filler

The album is pretty solid overall; however, I wish it had a really nice slow song something like Smile, Monster c_c, or even Shiroi Natsu...
Albeit, you can't expect Sawao to crank out something of such epic proportions like Shiroi Natsu all of the time...

your opinion is officially 70 times less valid to me.

I don't see how one can like RUNNERS HIGH (the song), but find YOUNGSTER (Kent Arrow) to be boring and repetitive.
They're both very simple songs.
They're not that complex at all.
They both get bonus points for sparse usage of English (used well)
I enjoy both songs a lot, and I'm just observing that all of the complaints against YOUNGSTER could be applied to a song we all know and (99% of us) love.

Can't believe no one's mentioned the "Guten morgen" yet...
Oh, and indeed
One of the saving graces of that song.
