Sorry guys, I know you must feel like I'm a little undeserving for my lack of fluent Japanese, but I'm learning slowly
I certainly don't mind it, I prefer instead to enjoy hearing about your awesome opportunities. Can't say I'm not a little jealous, but hey, who wouldn't be?

Sawao never talked much. I'm not sure what you guys expect. Manabe is way more talkative, whether you speak fluent Japanese or not (I do, some people don't but they were still talking with him).

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
I figured you were an IMer Yes, I was finally passed on to the organizer for the NYC show (had to get INSIDE first), who spoke and understood English hahaa. Our Gramercy passes were all access, so my group was taking turns watching the show from backstage and from the back of the floor. Pretty intense stuff, being that close. The first time I went backstage, Sawao was coming down from the stage, and it took a few tries for him to remember who I was, lol. Mare didn't recognize me either, that damned shaved head I kept bumping into Jun's backup, who was practicing his bass lines right behind the curtain, poor guy haha, I wanted to hop on guitar and play along! We chilled with the noodles ladies for a little bit, but it's hard to communicate with anyone in this DELICIOUS camp if you don't speak Japanese. Sorry guys, I know you must feel like I'm a little undeserving for my lack of fluent Japanese, but I'm learning slowly Manabe passed some pics on to us post-show and talked about Shinjuku and the Facebook work we've been doing. Shin and I laughed at his "gay boy" comment he made after I kissed him in '09, LOL. All very cool stuff. Really fun night, sorry for my group and I going insane crazy in the back right of the venue I thought it was a better performance than the 2008 show. I actually dig the sound of this place, Gramercy. Now... next time... fan voting for songs or don't come back!!
Sounds amazing man, you must've had had an awesome time. And I am so for the fan voting! I'm guessing they do want to come back then from you reiterating this. Well allow me to reiterate myself if you please. If there is anything I can do to get the pillows to come to Chicago next year, please let me know. Apparently my e-mails to Delicious Label detailing numerous small venues didn't work. I'd just really like to get the opportunity to see my favorite band again. Also, to what everyone is saying about Sawao not talking... come to think of it he was a bit stoic after the Pomona show last year. This was on contrast to when I met him in 2006 after the Chicago show. I told him (as easily as I could in English) thank you for his music and that they rocked Chicago. He bowed, smiled, and was very gracious saying thank you. So perhaps you got something there Mare, although I don't blame him at all for just being dog tired. Manabe on the other hand, awesome both times I met him. Very cordial last year, jumping off the stage to meet me when I asked if he'd pose for a picture. He's a class act and you can tell he really enjoys the adulation and love he gets from the fans.

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
If we can get fan voting that'd be great, within reason of course. There are some things that they aren't going to play no matter how hard you request it (even at 9/16 shows they have never played anything off pantomime). [which is unfortunate considering razorlike blue is a great song]
It'd be great to hear fan favorites like この世の果てまで, バビロン天使の詩、etc.

EDIT: Totally gotta add Shiroi Natsu to that list.
Fanvoting would be hilarious. We could get em to play Secret Slogan that way!

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
I think Kono Yo No Hate Made should definitely be on the list. it's practically a staple for every show in Japan, and it's one of my top 10 favs. And I agree, thefan voting would have to be within reason. But if for some reason the band had just played Beautiful Picture or Suicide Diving a week or so before in Japan, you better believe I'd vote for those.

Robotman? Skeleton Liar? Kono Yo No Hate Made? Good Morning, Good News?
(also is it wrong that I don't want to suggest stuff from Kool Spice/Living Field because I think they'd muck it up? Swanky Street still sounds good with the current arrangement but I don't think the lounge/jazz stuff would at all.)

In that case I'll take an order of Shiroi Natsu... and a side of Spiky Goose.
EDIT
Also, Daydream Wonder and In Front of a Locked Door sounded AMAZING from the Lostman Go To Yesterday tour, especially the latter.

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
Alright guys,
If I were to write a letter in perfect Japanese to the band or to Delicious label at the first announcement of the next tour, claiming to be a dedicated American fan with terminal cancer whose one wish is to see something like The Killing Field, Angelfish or some other wonderful old song of theirs that they would probably never play in the States, DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD DO IT?
I'm only half kidding...

I think it would be a terrible thing to do.

It doesn't matter, they won't play anything of Kool Spice or Living Field anyway. (except MAYBE 屋上に昇って)

I think it would be a terrible thing to do.
What if he actually has terminal cancer?
Yeah, like, what if my desire to hear one of those songs was so intense that, until the next tour, I applied all of my energies into cultivating an unbeatable cancer within myself? Would I not then have earned the right to at least try and manipulate my favorite band using my terminal disease?
Lol. ITT: A bad person thinks up terrible ways to manipulate his favorite band.
Joking aside, based on the results of this tour, it seems that the pillows are definitely willing to take our requests into consideration. I think that's awesome, and fan-voting for the next tour could potentially yield results.
