No, I ordered from HMV. If you ordered from HMV or Tower Records, you got a mini calendar. If you get lucky, you MIGHT sometimes get a poster from CD Japan.
Oh yea, I forgot to mention: CDJapan gives you nothing. Zip. Nada. Squat. So yea, don't pre-order from there unless you don't care if you get one of those mini claendars or whatever.
So you've gotten the single from them already?

Yup, got it Friday morning. When I saw the tiny box it came in, I knew there were no freebies. Oh well though, at least the DVD is really awesome. You'll enjoy it.

Ah yeah. Same here. And the DVD IS awesome. The camera angles, the lighting. So damn good, really. If the 20th anniversary DVD was shot like this, I might just die.

but not before ruining a few pairs of boxers.

Avex seems to be treating their work better than king records, maybe? Or at least putting out better bonus stuff. King records pretty much did stickers and that was it, there weren't ever any bonus dvds...

I would assume the pillows didn't switch labels to lower the quality of their product output.

SCARECROW = Good song. Has some good emotion. At first I really didn't like the vocal melody at all, but it's grown on me.
BOYS BE LOCKSMITH = Catchier guitarwork than SCARECROW, but I think it's got less substance and thus less lasting value. It's okay. Its vocals are oddly similar to SCARECROW in that they kind of jump all over the place and I don't think they flow that well.
tsugoyari = Quite nice. I like it better than the Mr. Children original. Emotional, another good vocal display from Sawao.

Overall, it's quite good. I'd say it continues the rise in quality over the past few albums. The vocals sound quite good, as does the overall mixing of the songs. The vocal melodies in the two Sawao-penned songs aren't my favorite, but I grew tolerant of them and I think they're alright now (heck, the SCARECROW vocals are actually kinda memorable). That said, I think Sawao's voice sounds nice in these songs and I look forward to the album.

#13 on the Oricon charts, which I think is their highest ranking so far.

That's the weekly ranking for the past week. It's no longer on the daily ranking top twenty.

It's not bad, but all 3 of the songs are melodramatic ballads with very "happy" endings; meaning a slowed down, major chord being strummed as the last note. And I BOYS BE LOCKSMITH is a real departure from their normal style, it's got a really smooth sounding mix to it, the drums sound like they sneak into the song but also keep it on it's toes. Pretty interesting. Also, I didn't think much of Scarecrow at first, but now the chorus is final sticking.
