Post Re: NINE FUCKING SIXTEEN
So I just received a coupon for a free $75 tattoo at this local place.
Im thinking Buster-kun with 9/16 in the background?

call me lame, I don't care.
As lame (or awesome) as it sounds, I realized yesterday that without the Pillows, I would be a completely different person than I am now. They got me into music, and without music, I would have nothing. I would have none of the friends that I have now, no social life, nothing.

Seems to me like the Pillows are important enough to me to get a tattoo, regardless of the direction in which they are heading at the moment.

Apparently Brye is not familiar with most of the pillows' live history.

Post Re: NINE FUCKING SIXTEEN
You guys weren't there you can't say ANYTHING.

Sawao's vocals were the best I've ever heard on a number songs, especially 1989. He was surprisingly on pitch and they switched a lot of the songs in a way I've never seen before. I mean... you just had to be there. The setlist was a bit expected, but the performance was superb.

Also, they had video-footage playing behind them in synchronization with their songs (someone pot a lot of effort into that), and my god.... the playing was just perfect. No mistakes, and Sawao simply sounded amazing. He didn't struggle with the high notes in Ameagari or most anything else... it was just great.

I'll post the beginning of the show later, but I think the music bit of "Thank You, My Twilight" got cut off. The rest of the footage is mostly Brye and I walking around, as well as Charm Face and lo-fi boi. There's also this awesome clip where I totally get glomped by this Japanese chick who loved my cover (I then continued on to fail by losing her contact information which she gave me).

And then there's footage of inside Budokan. We have the full tracklist of OOParts now as well! It's on the video. One of the new songs is called "Lemon Drops"!

Oh, I also recorded the EPIC LINE for merchandise outside of the show. I literally grew to be a mile long, out onto the streets. Brye waited from the end while I hung out with Charm Face and chatted with the natives.

I have no doubt that you guys had a great time and enjoyed the show. But... the pillows have not been at their live peak since around the time of Little Busters-Happy Bivouac. I've seen the pillows in recent years, and hell yeah, I thought they were great. But best show out of 20 years? Give me a break. The set list alone blows that bullshit out of the water.
