Get soulseek: www.slsknet.orgJust search for the pillows on there, and you should be able to find a LOT more than you can easily get on Limewire. Also ask any of us on AIM and I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to share stuff. Many of us have every single release and then some.

Re: Top Ten
DAMN, this is HARD. I'm going to try though: 1) Tiny Boat (Single Version) - 2) ROBOTMAN - 3) Nowhere - 4) Right Here Like This 5) Ano Hito Onaji Sora No Shita De 6) I Need Somebody 7) Ice Pick My Foot 9) Yume Ni Youna Yakusoku Wa (THAT'S RIGHT, I SAID IT DAMNIT) 10) Good Morning, Good News Man that was HARD. I like SO many songs that this was just painstakingly hard. There are so many songs I wanted to put up here... but I just had to choose. As you can see, I like the older stuff a lot!
Can I just mention that ROBOTMAN is one of the most satisfying songs to sing along to ever?
You can, and I would have to agree EDIT: I'll try to figure out ten favorites, but it won't be easy, as TA12 has clearly expressed I'd been putting off making this list because it would be constantly changing.

Re: Top Ten
1. NO SELF CONTROL - I've never been able to properly express or rather even figure out why I find this song to be so haunting and be a fixation as my favorite pillows song. Maybe it's the unconventional melody, maybe it's the lyrics, or maybe its just the way everything is just conveyed and gracefully comes together in this chaotic song, I just never grow tired of it. "Without realizing it, we dreamed the same dream..."
2. Bokura no Haree Suisei (Turn Back Version) - I find this song to be a very defining song for the pillows. Comparing the under-produced version on WI to this version you can see just how far they've come along. The PV only further accentuates this statement. It's simply a timeless song. "I always, always want to be with you..."
3. Sonna fuu ni Sugoshitai - One of their best b-sides without a doubt, it's seamless and just so relaxing. I'd also say this is one of their best if not the best of their chill-out songs. "No matter what anyone says, I just don't care, I'm not afraid. Even if I'm lonely, I'm in no hurry. I wanna live that way..."
4. BORDERLINE CASE - This song is really something else. It's very hypnotic and mesmerizing, from the robotic "I wanna be your best friend in your life" to the eerily peaceful melody, theres just something about this song that draws you in. "I can't laugh, so teach me..."
5. Back Seat Dog - This song just seems to make me reflect on things; If there was a song to help me reflect on what I've done in life this would be it, even though the lyrics don't reflect it at all. But still it just holds that charm. "I'm still tied up in your garden, like a dog..."
6. Fool on the planet - Over time I've come to feel that this is like the grown-up and more mature version of HYBRID RAINBOW. HYBRID RAINBOW is rather angsty and can only hope that tomorrow brings something better. However with Fool on the planet there is no hope, there is only pure optimism and an adamant resolve in the face of adversity. Not to mention the music is simply superb, this is just another one of those songs that clearly define who the pillows are. "Even if this era hopes, I won't wash it away with my song. Even if everything changes, I won't change. My song is your song..."
7. Across The Metropolis - This song is slowly but steadily growing on me more and more each day. This song just shows the magic the pillows can just bring to their songs. This song just sweeps and takes you away to another place. Here I am just reflecting looking out a skyscraper window into an endless sky of blue, just daydreaming, reflecting, and relaxing without a care in the world, living in that one single moment. "They don't make it, nobody makes it. Your balloon fades into the sky. It's hard to see, but it sure is beautiful. I know that your dream is way over there, swaying above the heads of people that can't notice it..."
8. Patricia - This is another song that just makes you reflect upon better days. It's a lack-a-daisy, lazy day, song that never ceases to amaze me. The music is just fantastic and the solo is simply one of the best in their catalog. I love the live version as well, it really needs more love live. "Carefree? What's that? Just napping all day long, you did everything at your own pace. You understand me best..."
9. STRANGE CHAMELEON - This song is simply timeless and truly a classic pillows song. It's a very beautiful song with one of the best if not the best solo in their entire catalog and I don't think it's lyrics will be topped. It's just so melancholic, it kinda represents the perfect kind of sadness, it's like I know I'm sad and heartbroken, but I'm not feeling it. However this song gets a low placement because unlike these other songs it's very susceptible to being overplayed and not staying as fresh the second time around. "Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not sad or anything. Probably solitude and freedom are always just part of the deal..."
10. Noboranai Taiyou - This song isn't necessarily here because it's the worst on this list, it's mainly because I like these other songs so much along with many more of the pillows songs, it just so happens this one ended up better than the others that couldn't make my list. Anyways this song is just so COZY! This is music to just dream to or rather music dreams should have while you dream. The drums are so haunting and the solo just adds that one last layer to the whole big picture that is this song. I can only imagine how this wonderful song would sound live. "I wonder what kind of expression is on your face as you gaze at time? I just keep dreaming, I'm still pretending..."

Re: Top Ten
hmmm the problem with these things is that, like relationships, there's the right ones, then the right now ones. So it takes time for songs to really shine, and also makes it hard to know what's right and what's right now. I'll try though...
10- My Girl (Fiction Version) : This song is quiet, sad, tender, and most of all humbling. There are songs that are tear wrenching by the pillows, but this one was the first time I heard it. The subtle hums that come in towards the end send a pit straight to my stomach.
9- Stalker : This song is so damned hauntingly angry, on several occassions it has just boiled into my head when I'm tired and angry. Grungy and addictive.
8- My Foot : I go on road trips for the hell of it , just to see whats out there, often, and I always listen to this song on em. This song is like suicide diving in that there is a freedom to it, however it has an excitment to it, and a control to it. Like taking a wheel and "ikou", a whole world in front of you and with no place you have to go.
7- Fool On the Planet : This song has always meant alot to me. Finding strength in a stubborn sort of pride and not seeking to change or soften your personality. I heavily relate to the lyrics especially the end. Even if everyone has forgotten, I won't forget. Even if the world laughs, I won't doubt myself. Even if this era hopes, I won't wash it away with my song. Even if everything changes, I won't change My song is your song
6- Beautiful Picture: This song is pure earcandy, it is among the most transcendant Pillows song out there. And by transcendant, I mean it transcends conventional music. I can listen to this song and not care what the lyrics are. It's true this song is not as deeply connected to me because the lyrics are irrelevant to me, but it beats other songs out of pure artistry.
5- Juliet: Ah Juliet, this song is an old flame for me. Grungy loud guitars, overdrives, this song is the figurehead of my love for an era of The Pillows' music. It also was the song that spurred me to pickup the guitar. This kind of sound I cant get enough of.
4- Wonderful Sight: Another amazing piece of earcandy. The way the song is put together, just... rockin. If there were any song that in my opinion perfected the blasting overdriven guitars, it was this one. Even though it is amazingly similar to ripcord, radiohead didnt rock it nearly as well.
3- white summer and green bicycle, red hair and black guitar: First song I learned to play and sing of The Pillows. Also a deeply connected and personal song. This song makes it up here because of personal connection.
2- Good Dreams: If you want me to talk about The Pillows' most emotional ballads, first is Hybrid Rainbow, second is Good Dreams. I think it gets overlooked because the album itself gets overlooked. But this song is just... yeah... tearwrenchingly emotional, I cant listen to it without feeling it. In my book its second best ballad by The Pillows, second only to Hybrid Rainbow.
1- Please Mr. Lostman: Now that I have moved to a busy time in my life and really began to fight to find my place in the world, this song has become my favorite Pillows song of all time. It reminds me of times when things weren't so serious. When every day wasnt a battle. Even talking about it I get emotional. When I listen to this song I can smell the wind passing through the window of my 1988 suzuki samurai of the warm semi-rural roads and see the golden fields of the mid summer grass back home. I want this song to be played at my funeral.
I left out the essential songs, Carnival, Hybrid Rainbow, Strange Chameleon, Boku no Haree, etc. because though I love those songs, they're the songs that are generally relatable and dont say much about me.
