Thanks! This is awesome
No problem man. If you want Little Busters in flac, or Happy Bivouac, or Runners High, or Please Mr. Lostman, or Living Field, or Pied Piper, or Kool Spice, or maybe Ooparts, My Foot and Wake up, Wake up, Wake up! . . . take a look at this: http://kuroba.net/2010/05/the-pillows-discography/

Re: TURN BACK...
I never hear a difference between FLAC and MP3. I like to think I have a pretty good audio setup on my PC, I have a 5.1 Surround system. I've tried it with headphones too. For quadruple the filesize I guess I was expecting more.
But thanks for the links none-the-less, any contribution is appreciated.
edit: Actaully, I take that back. I've run several comparisons on some of the later albums and can't find any differences. But i'm noticing a distinct improvement in fidelity and clarity in the FLAC copies of the earlier albums I have in MP3, such as Living Field. Girlfriend sounds fantastic.

Re: TURN BACK...
Great fucking album, love all the remakes. I was so happy with my first choice when I was deciding which pillows album to buy first. It was Happy Bivouac Also, whats the difference between a flac and an Mp3?

Re: TURN BACK...
FLAC files are lossless, meaning nothing is compressed when it's ripped from the CD.

Re: TURN BACK...
There is no real audible difference between FLAC and 320 kbit/s MP3. Every sound under 16,000 Hz is more or less identical. Anything over 16,000 Hz is negligible, unless you are a dog. Even if you are able to perceive sound playing in that range over the sound playing in the lower ranges, there wouldn't be anything of substance in that range anyway.
Use FLAC if you want a pristine archive of your music in its original form. For listening purposes, it's just a waste of disk space - do your hard drive a favor. Of course, we still appreciate it, Ash.

Re: TURN BACK...
That's working under the assumption that your previous copy was a high-quality MP3 rip. In my case a few of the early albums I had were not that great, so I replaced them with the FLAC files which sound better. My music collection is stored on a 1.5Tb external drive so i'm not terribly concerned with storage space.
The one i'd really like is The Pillows Present Special CD. My copy is crappy but it's the only one i've found.

Re: TURN BACK...
If I burn FLAC files to a cd, they'll turn back to simple 320kpbs? or what?

Hehe... Sorry, but that is what I think. I love other the pillows albums (like turn back, which is one of my favs) but for me, Please Mr. Lostman is pure gold. If I have to choose to have only one album, that would be.
Back on topic, I want to thank for the FLAC files. I can really hear a difference between those and my mp3 files (with headphones of course). I actually have the CD, but it is easier to play the FLAC files rather than put the CD.

Please Mr. Lostman is a solid album thats for sure. But as you listen to other albums like Little Busters or Happy Bivouac you'll find that they too are pretty solid albums and might change your mind. I remember a few years ago my favorite album was PML also, but I went back to Happy Bivouac and listened to the whole thing and thought long and hard on all the tracks, I found it had much more taste and it became my favorite since then.
