I think it's time Lex Steele got his own Killing Field thread, you do it.

I think Good Dreams is the better album. I wouldn't call either of them mediocre by any means though. It doesn't make sense to me that some people flat out hate these albums.

Yeah, really. In my opinion, nothing the pillows have done I would consider "bad". Of course PL isn't a good as previous albums, but that by no means makes it bad to listen to. Hell, I think Moon Marguerite, Terminal Heaven's Rock, Freebee Honey, Dead Stock Paradise, and I Know You are all great tracks, but it just so happens that, as a whole, PL stands lower than most pillows albums.

Penalty Life has more moments on it that I really hate (Dead Stock Paradise, Stupid Trampoline Schoo Kid, etc.), but does have several songs that are actually worth listening to.
Personally I find Good Dreams incredibly boring... only Sono Mirai wa Ima really stands out. I don't think the songs are bad... just disinteresting. Good Dreams (the song) seems really stale in comparison to other songs in the same vein, like, say, Smile.

I think I must be the only one who doesn't mind Dead Stock Paradise.

Dead Stock Paradise is pretty awesome. Different, and awesome. Good road music.

dead stock paradise is a good cruising tune. Nothing spectacular, but I enjoy it. It was sweet live too.
