I will bet good money that no one who has mentioned moshing really knows what that is.

Can I get my 27 dollars back for the SF show? Seriously, what the fuck. If you're going to drop swanky street, at least let everyone hear it. Pissed right now. At least I can just see them in Japan.

No there were definitely mosh pits going on. But sorry for using "moshing" as an umbrella term for people pushing others around rhythmically like apes, didn't mean to offend you.

There's a difference between severe, violent slamming and shoving and "regular" slamming and shoving. The more tame version was at this pillows show, but it was moshing all the same, if we're working from Wikipedia's definition which says "Moshing is a dance in which participants push and/or slam into each other." There was a defined oval near the front in which people ran around, shoved, slammed, hurtled, and pushed aggressively.
Sorry if it seems like we're stealing your precious "REAL moshing is only for REAL hardcore punx like me who aim to break noses" baby. I'm not gonna get all uppity if people call Nickelback and the pillows both "rock music," despite their clear differences.

protip, if you don't like moshing, find somewhere else to stand.

No way, the reason I will always go to the front is to get a chance to snatch one of Manabe's guitar picks. Which I did this time around

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
You don't even need to do that lol. Manabe just said "I remember you" and handed me a pick.
Talk to him after the show, I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a pick if you ask nicely.

Good: Swanky Street, Last Dinosaur, Noodles, bros. Bad: All Ages, moshing during Noodles, burly assholes. Ugly: Sawao's guitar solo during Rookie Jet, in a good way.

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
Moshing shouldn't even be occurring at the pillows' concerts. It's absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for. You really want to form a pit? Fine. Do it. Just don't get people involved that want no part of it. Luckily, if you're in the first 2-3 rows, all you feel is the press, which I can handle. The moshing, or whatever the hell it is, is so disruptive it makes one's enjoyment of the show pretty hard to accomplish.
It seems these shows in the US bring a certain amount of 15-18 year old weeaboos who think it's "cool" and "normal" to throw elbows, ram into people, and knock over small statured girls who just want to see their favorite band. But I suppose it doesn't help when Sawao says, "MOAR MOAR OF YOUR CRAZY DANCE!"

Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
There was no moshing at the two Japan shows I went to. The crowd got into it, people jumped up and down, but nobody would have DREAMED of slamming each other around like a bunch of fuckheads. They were all their to enjoy the goddamn pillows together. Maybe someday when the pillows have enough fans of our type and less of these "ZOMG TEH FLCL BAND" fools, the American shows will be right.
