All right got my single today so I'm happy. :)

Scarecrow: Listening to the higher quality enhances a few things, so I ws glad for that. The song itself is good, but like I've stated before it's nothing that really blows me away.

Boys Be Locksmith: The song is all right I suppose. I can defintiely understand what some people are talking about with the song sounding like Scarecrow some. I mean, yea it's only two notes, but it's noticeable, at least to me. Still though, the song is good in it's own right, just nothing particularly amazing. I did like Sawao's vocals alot though.

Tsuyogari: Pretty good cover. Defintiely better than Mr. Children's original version. The synth worked pretty good with the song, and I didn't really notice Sawao's vocals or anything being off at the higher notes. I don't think he did too bad of a job.

Overall, I think this is just a pretty average single. The songs are a good listen, but nothing really wowed me, nothing stood out. I enjoyed The Third Eye single much more. Maybe the songs on Scarecrow will grow on me more, I don't know though.

On another note though, anybody now what is written on the back of the Wake Up! Tour sheet that was inside the single? It says something about a Wake Up! Tour CD and it looks like it has some kind of confirmation code. Just curious to know what it all means

Whoamg, my first post on these forums!

Anyway, I just bought the single (despite having downloaded it already) and it pwns. I love Scarecrow to death and Boys be Locksmith and tsuyogari are both awesome. I also bought My Foot, because I love that album. Funny how the album and the single were both the same price ($15). Well, the overseas version is about $40, but I guess you can see why I went with the $15 one.

Almost forgot about the DVD. One word: Awesome. Tearbridge kicks ass for doing this. The quality of the video is superb of course and some of the camera angles and the few crowd shots are really good. Scarecrow sounded alot better live, IMO. The Scarecrow performance is up on Youtube for those that don't have the DVD. Anyways, someone mentioned that Manabe did the solo different. Well it was either that or he really fucked up. I'm gonna guess that the solo was just diferent. That show was from October 5th, so they very well could've gone back and reworked the solo, which is what i think they did.

As for the second song on the DVD, Hybrid Rainbow, that was probably one of the best performances I've ever seen quite frankly. At first I was a bit irritated becuase it just seems that Hybrid Rainbow keeps getting shoved down my throat. But the way they performed it, and the way the camera angles worked made it golden. Manabe was especially awesome. The solo was excellent, extraordinary! He did a real good job on it. So all in all, buying the single was really worth it.

Sawao's voice is nowhere near as good as it was on the recording. As a commenter said on the Youtube video...he just can't hit the high notes. Too bad. The chorus needs it.

edit: Heh. Looks like Manabe hadn't QUITE gotten the solo down for this performance...

Well I've noticed in almost every single live video that I've seen, Sawao's voice is usually sub-par to that of the actual recording of the song. But overall, I liked the live version better. It was good hearing the song without the synth and there was more focus on the guitars.
