Sorry to spew off-topic... But Cloudy, what game is that? I had it for SNES and for the life of me can't remember what its title was.

Uh, I didn't really do anything that epic.

SCARECROW- It's ok. Not awesome, not bad. I don't really agree with the One Life thing too much, but the synth in this song is just.. >_> I really hope they aren't going to use that in their songs from now on..

BOYS BE LOCKSMITH - Better than SCARECROW definitely. I also like the lyrics and the tempo compared to the other two, which are just kind of draggy. So yeah definitely the best of this single. Is it one of their best songs? No. But I think it's pretty good. Better than most on MY FOOT imo.

Tsuyogari - hearing it was a mr. Children cover I wasn't really excited, for it wouldn't have the pillows tendencies I guess. I don't know the original song, but I wasn't impressed at all. In fact my first time listening to this single I stopped this song in the middle and went back to BOYS BE LOCKSMITH. Mr. Children did a hell of a good job covering Strange Chameleon. Unfortunately the pillows couldn't return it... (of course strange Chameleon is a better song in general..)

I think I love you. That was one of my favorite SNES games. :3

I haven't heard the single yet. I thought Scarecrow itself was okay.

I thought the single was very well done; and Sawao's voice has greatly improved, as well. It really helped that they took their time with this release.

I'd say that Sawao's voice hasn't improved, but the tone he's using is better. He's not doing that nasal junk right now, which is a plus in my book, but his voice quality overall has decreased from what it was a few years ago.

un squadron. one of the most epic and underappreciated snes games, along with metal warriors, imho.

boys: yeah, i definitely was happy for the first 30 seconds of the first time i heard this song too.. :( could have been a lot better.

Doesn't that mean his voice has improved?

Haha, you're right, but I think what he meant is that Sawao's singing style is different and better, rather than the quality of his voice or his technique actually improving.

His overall vocal quality is lesser in my eyes in that it has become a bit shaky at times due to his age and his posture/movements while singing. However, at least it's not as nasal as it used to be, so while it hasn't really improved totally, part of it has improved.

Boys be locksmith was ok, but jeez. its not that good. :eh:

tsuyogari was VERY well done, the synths don't sound bad either. sure instruments would be nice but to say that the synths sound bad or "shitty" is just absurd.

but this is a forum, opinions are different. :dizzy:
Oh man, fuck this. Adult-Alternative pap."
What is that supposed to mean?

What? Mr. Children's cover wasn't rally well done, sure the song wasn't that bad. But come on it destroyed everything that the original one was. At least Sawaodid a stright rendition of tsuyogari. Not to mention the guitar work is much better on both the original Strange Chameleon and the pillows' tsuyogari. Keep in mind I'm not saying that the pillows' version of tsuyogari is better than Mr Children's.

I can tell you not to be rude the same way anybody can tell anybody else not to be rude. It's not like I'm breaking any rules, and I'm only rude when I'm tired or frustrated and see something stupid that I disagree with strongly. It's interesting to note that whenver I point out where somebody is incorrect and use proof that can't be argued, they just tell me to stop being an asshole and then either change the subject, usually by responding with a snide remark, or just keep arguing their invalid point.

Also, I told people they suck at music because they made a large AND incorrect claim. Saying "these two songs sound similar" and "these two songs are copies of each other".
I'm not sure if the article is accurate but I found it here so.

"do you want your fans to understand your feelings in the first place? do you have the desire to clearly convey your feelings?

yamanaka: actually... i used to feel really strongly about that. i used to think that if people didn't really understand me the way i want them to, then screw them. now it's like nothing, i don't care. of course people who don't know me can't understand me (laughs). in music, that's not important. that has nothing to do with how good the music is. because i can ignore that now, it's like, lately, if somebody says 'i like the pillows' then i feel grateful. but if they say 'i hate them,' fine. i don't feel like i have any need to ask why."

I really enjoyed Scarecrow, I probably liked it as much as The Third Eye (which I liked a lot). I'm having a lot of trouble pinning down the harmony as well.

It was innocence, I only tried, to stretch the season a little longer.
