They aren't playing Swanky Street. The end.

Same. Nice to know they're still playing Mr. Droopy, although we all know the superior b-side (dare I say, SONG from those sessions) is FINGER POST OF MAGIC. :shred:

Thanks for that write up somedumbgamer!
Waiting to hear from the others that went!

Reading about the past shows gets me super pumped for Sunday. I'm determined, this is the first time I'll be at the show without parents who limit my after-show stay. I'm hanging around as long as it takes afterwards to meet the guys.

I had my brother send me my copy of Kool Spice to get signed, but I'm not sure if it's going to get here in time...

Setlist was something like;

Dance With God
I Think I Can
Mr. Droopy
Carnival
Crazy Sunshine
Rookie Jet
Instant Music
One Life
Little Busters
Comic Sonic
Funny Bunny
Hybrid Rainbow
Advice

Encore:
Ride On Shooting Star
Last Dinosaur

I may have some things out of order. But they played Mr. Droopy and Crazy Sunshine instead of Doggie Howl and Blues Drive Monster and shuffled a few other songs around.

I think She, Her was the only pre-Ivy song Noodles played. Though I believe that and an old cover or two are pretty much the only pre-Ivy songs that they really still play at all? A shame, really. Some of their earlier stuff (I guess especially as you start getting closer to the sexiness of God Cable and Fuzz Hill) is probably too much for just Yoko... But there's a fair amount of stuff they probably still could play.

And indeed GR, since they have Noodles in tow for their US shows, it would be awesome if they played Back Seat Dog with Yoko on backups instead of Manabe/Jun like Japan gets :(

I hope they play Crazy Sunshine in NY, that was one that I was disappointed wasn't on the earlier setlist.
That's definitely one of my most feel good songs.

In his defense, some people buy $50 pens

Truth is I've been debating with myself about merch, specifically that pen  I Think I'll have to see it in person before I decide.

Who is the second guitarist? He was not at the LA show.

Nice memento. Looks like the set list for this tour is not much different from previous years. I heard 11 of the same songs from last year, and 2008 was very similar.

Yeah I can live with that. Mr. Droopy is like one of three songs released in the past 4 years that I like sort of.

My first time seeing All Ages and I loved that bassist! I was disappointed that I couldn't secure a spot near center stage and ended up way on the left side again, but watching that him go nuts really made it fun.

They also handed out some water bottles to the crowd later in the show, which was SUPER nice.

the noodles were cool, but I had a hard time hearing the vocals and bassist energy seemed rather low.. :(

Then it was about a 20-30 minute wait until the pillows finally went on. They were fantastic, of course! Too bad, Sawao didn't do the "are you going to san francisco" opening like before. True, the majority of the setlist was about the same as always, but I don't mind because it really pumps up the crowd and makes the concert fun.

Damn that pole blocking my view of Shin!! >:[

Sawao in all his awesomeness

Actually, for some reason, the crowd seemed way more tame than last year -- a small amount of shoving, but pretty tolerable. And did anyone else smell that weed? I think someone blazed one up in the middle of the show.

Hmm what else...Around the middle of the concert, Sawao mentioned the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan, thanked Americans for their support, and then started up "One Life." I thought that was nice :) Oh and at the very end, before they left the stage, Sawao pulled up his sleeve and showed everyone his tattoo (and I missed the photo opportunity, dammit!). I waited around after the show to see if they would come out for pictures and whatever, but I only got a glimpse of Manabe since the staff put up some kind of gate thing around the backstage area and shooed people out.
