You could also try the voices of House, Daria, or the old lady from the Golden Girls.
Or any other archetypically sarcastic fictional character.

Re: Questionnaire on the pillows MySpace
Yes plenty of people want to physically own CDs, myself included. I think I've downloaded a total of one song from iTunes in all my 25 years. The good news is for a band like The Pillows, there are opportunities to offer digital AND physical CDs in America, though the physical CDs may not end up in stores, one would have to buy it from an online store. Its been interesting to look at all the options even for the sake of a band like mine...how can you get your content out there these days in the most cost-effective way? Its been fun to study.

No, I'm easy going and really nice. Some people are just dicks. But back to the actual thread, I love how every thread has something to do with me along with it. Anyway, I agree with ladybirdgirl that, the only way bands can get noticed now is through itunes and/or digital sales.

Re: Questionnaire on the pillows MySpace
I personally cant stand buying music from digital stores. I can pirate digital copies and get the same sense of ownership as buying through itunes. However owning a cd or a record adds so much more significance to a purchase.
There's so much awesome that goes into an album that just having the tracks does not do it justice. If you have the tracks you have some tracks, but if you have the cd you have the album.
if they distributed cds exclusively via itunes and shit I wouldnt buy it. But if they started selling their albums in bigger distributors, I would buy em.

like which bands?

I guess you haven't listened to any bands that have exclusive tracks on iTunes. Highly justifiable in that case.

The same exclusive tracks that you can pirate? Yeah. I'm with Camio, for once.

There were some exclusive releases back in the day that had Apple's annoying DRM lock on the files, meaning they were non-pirateable. Unless you were some elite hacker. I don't know how many of their tracks are iTunes Plus (non-DRM) now, but if they're all DRM-free, then you're right.

Re: Questionnaire on the pillows MySpace
I've never encountered any of these DRM locks on their files. I just got some iTunes "exclusives" from a file a few days ago and it played just fine. I seriously hate it when bands do that, and it's usually overpriced anyways. But really, the pillows should get the rest of their discography out there on iTunes, and maybe think about a limited re-release on CD. By the way, this probably off topic, but does anyone know if any of the pillows albums have ever been available on vinyl? Do they do that a lot in Japan. I know most people aren't interested in vinyl anymore, but I for one would love to own Happy Bivouac on wax.

DRM has never been anything more than a subtle nuisance, that the creator of the torrent has most likely bypassed, so you usually don't even have to worry about it.

Re: Questionnaire on the pillows MySpace
There are tons of programs designed to remove DRM that work fine.
