Pillows Concert FAQ

Q. When will The Pillows be performing at ACen?
A. There will be two concert performances. One on Friday and one on Saturday, seating for the Friday concert will begin at 6:00pm, and seating for the Saturday concert will begin at 12:00pm. The Friday concert will also be simulcast.
Q. What’s this simulcast?
A. A simulcast means that the concert will be aired in another room of the hotel and will provide live streaming video of the concert. Seating for the simulcast will begin at 7:00pm Friday evening in Grand Ballroom AB. There is no simulcast for Saturday’s concert.
Q. How do I get into the concert? Do I need tickets or something?
A. You will need a valid badge and a ticket to get into the concert. The simulcast will not be ticketed. When seating begins, please have your badge and tickets ready so we can get seated as soon as possible.
Q. When and where can I get tickets?
A. There will be three ticketing sessions for the Friday concert and two ticketing sessions for the Saturday concert. There will be a limited number of tickets given out at each session so everyone can get tickets so get them while you can.
Friday Concert:
Thursday Night - 7:00pm - 9:00pm - Programming Ops (Grand Ballroom Registration - Hyatt)
Friday Morning - 10:00am – 12:00pm - the lobby of the RCC near registration.
Friday Afternoon – 3:30pm – 6:00pm - the lobby of the RCC near registration.
Saturday Concert:
Friday Evening – 6:30pm – 8:00pm - the lobby of the RCC near registration.
Saturday Morning – 8:00am – 12:00pm - the lobby of the RCC near registration.
Q. Does a ticket guarantee me a seat in the concert?
A. A ticket does not guarantee 100% that you will have a seat in the concert. Admittance to the concert without a ticket will not be allowed. Seating inside main programming will be set up to accommodate people who wish to stand as well as those who wish to sit. However as such we cannot guarantee a seat for every individual.
Q. Wow, The Pillows were great Friday can I get tickets to the Saturday one as well?
A. Unfortunately, so many people want to see the concert that the concert is limited to one concert per attendee.
Q. My friend’s aren’t going to arrive until late Friday, can I get tickets for them?
A. Sorry, in order to be fair to everyone who wants to see the concert, you must be present and have your badge in order to get a ticket to the concert. Only one ticket will be given to one person at a time please do not bring multiple badges to get tickets, you will only receive one.
Q. I didn’t get a ticket, but this guy says he’ll sell me one for 10$ can I buy it?
A. Concert tickets cannot be transferred, and are meant to be free. If convention staff sees anyone selling tickets or trading tickets for other items, the tickets will be confiscated and you will be brought to security. This is the fairest way for everyone to be able to see and enjoy the concert.
Q. I lost my ticket, can I get another one?
A. We’re sorry but we can only issue one ticket to each attendee. So hang on to those tickets! However, if you did lose your ticket, you can still enjoy Friday’s simulcast without one.
Q. Are The Pillows going to be signing autographs?
A. Yes they are! You can get autographs from The Pillows after their Saturday concert. They will be available in Grand Ballroom C from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, get there fast, there’s probably going to be a line.
Q. Are The Pillows going to have stuff they can sign at the autographs session?
A. They might have paper, but you can always get them to sign your program book. If you want something special, like a CD, signed; check out the Dealer’s Room, there’s bound to be Pillow’s merchandise.
Q. I’m a BIG fan, can I get pictures or video of the concert?
A. Sorry, unfortunately there is to be no photography or any recording equipment allowed in the concert. Please leave all of your cameras, tape recorders, and video cameras in your rooms. If you do bring a bag we will have to search it or you will be asked to bring it to your room. We can also take it to security, however we cannot guarantee the safety of your bags so please save everyone some trouble and leave your bags and recording equipment in your room.
Q. Will there be VIP seating for sale like last year?
A. We believe that you shouldn’t have to pay more to get VIP seating. There will be no VIP seating available.
