DVDShrink is a good option for that.
Shrink is a compressor mare, Decrypter is a ripper. 8gb Duallayer dvd ripped thru decrypter, compressed to 4.7GB, reburned onto new disc.

You can also rip and remove region protection, as I recall. I used to use it a lot.

Post Re: Pied Piper Go to Yesterday DVD
Damn, am I really still the only one who has it? Anyone else order from CDJapan? Well anyway, Tidus, I already made a small review on the first disc earlier:
can give a short review of the Lostman Go to Yesterday DVD though. Tiny Boat was AMAZING, defintiely a highlight of the show. During the whole show, Sawao was playing with his hair a lot. He had it styled almost just like the Tokyo Bambi DVD, and he was cracking jokes the whole time about it, as was the audience. The first quarter of the DVD was solid. Sawao had some nice dance moves during the break down of Non Fiction, and was getting his grove on in the intro of Heart is There. And then we get into Akani no Tobira no Mae de. There was no introduction of it, they just went right into it. It blew me away.

Manabe killed it, Jun was picking away at his bass, reminding me a bit of Kashima. Sawao's vocals, while not excellent, were still pretty damn good. Daydream Wonder was also amazing, when Sawao announced it, you could hear some gasps throughout the crowd. Simialr things happened when they started playing Girlfriend. To compensate for no horns, the guitars were played much louder during the chorus, and it really gave me a new appreciation to the song. Cherry led off the first encore, and was spot on, definitely up there with the other live version we have of it. And to kick off the second encore, Sawao chugged a beer. I thought he was gonna puke for a second
.

And here's a couple pics of the sticker and the discs themselves:

Now I did finally get to sit down and watch the second disc from the Pied Piper tour, and was equally as pleased as I was with the first disc. No Surrender opening was kick ass, and Voice was awesome to see performed live. It was great seeing Sawao living it up playing Back Seat Dog again also. Tokyo Zombie was pretty funny because Sawao was doing more funky stuff with his hair. From what I could gather, he was trying to make himself look like a zombie and parted his hair really wierd, garnering some laughter from the audience.

Ice Pick was absolutely lovely to hear and the band was pretty much spot on with it in all aspects. Now as for, Melody, can't say I was that blown away by it. It seems like it's kind of building in the same vein as Ladybird Girl and Tokyo Bambi if you ask me. It is better than those two songs though. It's got that kind of quirky feel to it that makes it seem like it could've belonged on WUx3. The solo is decent, and it has a nice little outro too.

Now Purple Apple, that was friggin awesome. So instead of doing the whistle solo, they played those chords a couple extra times while Sawao went and picked up one of those Buster-kun kubricks off of an amp. Then he proceeded to use it as a slider on his guitar and turned the whistle solo into an awesome guitar solo. That was one of the highlights of the show I think. That's A Wonderful World turned out nice live. Then the banter and band introductions started before Finger Post of Magic. Sawao seemd to be giving Jun crap about something, but it was all in good fun. Manabe said a few words, and then they got to Shin. Note that Shin was wearing the green Tokyo Bambi shirt. Apparently there was some running gag throughout most of the tour with Shin and that shirt. More on that below. Anyways, Shin cracked some crazy joke I could not understand and then out of nowhere yelled "1, 2, 3!" and started the drum intro for Finger Post while Sawao and Manabe were dying with laughter. It took about a minute until they could get it together and actually start playing the song. :D

They closed the set with Runners High and then came back out with a kick ass rendition of Good Dreams and Skinny Blues. They came back out for a second encore with Funny Bunny, and then AGAIN for a third encore. It was funny because all 4 band members got into a huddle, probably trying to figure out what song they were going to play, and proceeded in rocking out to Kono Yo no Hate Made. So it was a vey, very awesome show needless to say.

The bonus track, Pied Piper tour -document- was mainly for laughs. It showcased a lot of the other tour stops and funny stuff that happened. OK, so remember the thing about Shin wearing the Tokyo Bambi shirt? Well apparently he wore it at almost every other show and I guess he kept telling a variation on the same joke and then went right into Finger Post, leaving the rest of the band doubling over in laughter every time. I REALLY want to know what he was saying! My guess is he was cracking some joke on how he was wearing the Tokyo Bambi shirt. I say that because there was another point in the bonus track where the band was getting interviewed, and out of nowhere Shin took off his sweater to reveal he was wearing the green Tokyo Bambi shirt underneath, to much laughter of course!

Also included was Manabe's birthday. They made him a Nine Miles cake with Buster-kun's all over it, and then Sawao crowned Manabe before he blew out his candles. :P Then everyone gave him his gifts, some of which were comical. Probably the funniest was Shin's. Manabe opened the bag and inside was what seemed to be a Disney's Bambi coloring book. Manabe was hysterical with laughter, it was priceless.

So there you have it, both DVDs are friggin awesome, probably the best since the 916 DVD. Maybe even better if not only for the fact there are two discs and one of them includes a live version of Akanai no Tobira no Mae de and Tiny Boat. Again, sorry I can't rip it, I just have no time right now, probably not until Sunday, and by then some of the other guys should have them. But you guys are definitely in for a treat once you get your hands on it. :shred:
Epic.
NO.

The Roman colosseum was epic.
The moon landing was epic.
Finding a cure for AIDS would be considered epic.

A run of the mill concert DVD by a band (no matter how good) will never be epic, unless it manages to cure AIDS.
