Have you seen the Shiroi Natsu and Bran-new Love-song lives?
I can't be amused by this and your sig together.

But yes, Shiroi Natsu live, where Sawao goes crazy in the end... It really is worth seeing. Haven't seen Bran-new Lovesong though, unles the "love songs for couples" tv-show is included... Link, anyone?

The guy who uploaded it had his account suspended by Youtube. I downloaded before then, though. I could send it to you, if you want.

After further review I'm found that the video performance was of Beautiful Morning With You, not Bran-New Love-song. My bad...

Do you have that?

No, I don't actually have any videos on my computer right now except one New animal & Mr. Droopy "bootleg" video. Always watched every video and PV via Youtube or similar site... But I'm of course interested in seeing video footage that isn't upped online.

I'll upload it to Youtube. They shouldn't suspend my account for one video.

I don't feel lonely, I have all of you... ;)

I had a couple good friends in college who also listened to the pillows but they're all far away now. And while my significant other likes them (pretty much a requirement) it's definitely not at the same level, I'm sure there were plenty of times he got tired of hearing about them. In general I don't discuss them much unless I know the other person already likes Japanese music.

I wonder if the same people who are put off because they don't understand foreign language lyrics honestly find deep meaning or emotion in the music they do consider worthy of listening to. Plenty of mainstream songs have stupid lyrics.

Same thing here, girlfriend's a fan, but not an over-the-top one like me.

I strongly doubt it. Frankly, if you put aside music simply due to the language, you're just being closeminded, and probably are incapable of liking good music sheerly for the musical quality. There are, sadly, a lot of people that are like this, and it's been my experience that they tend to just listen to whatever's popular on the radio at the time.

I agree with Marekenshin on that statement. Music shouldn't be regarded mostly for lyrics, it should be regarded for the actual music. :P Although I found out that Sawao is a great lyricist later on, I was originally drawn into the pillows because of their music. People call me a weeaboo for liking the pillows, and they also call me an FLCL idiot, but I haven't watched the entire FLCL series, and I'm hardly a weeaboo. It's just hard for people to accept, and that's why I don't tell people about my taste in music unless I'm really close to them.

Post Re: The Scar Whispers, NO ONE is in PARADISE
I remember last year one of my distant friends listened to Ride on Shooting Star on my iPod and was like: "Why do you listen to that Japanese stuff anyways?"

I replied with "Wait... you just listened to that song right?" (last year at this time, I only had Hybrid Rainbow and Ride on Shooting Star... I've grown a lot this past year in terms of pillowige, xD).

Anwyays, he replied. "Yeah?"

So I said, as if he acting as a moron. "You can honestly sit there and tell me that that wasn't AWESOME?"

To which he replies. "Dude, it's in freakin' ching-chongese!"

I called him a fucking idiot, took my iPod, and didn't talk to him for the rest of the school year.

Lyrics matter too, they're what makes music one of the most vibrant and expressive forms of art out there. In addition to the emotional context added by the music, you can have poetry embedded within it, or at least poetic phrases/personal stories/or anything else you want. It's just great. :groovin:

Anyone ever get chastized over the name? EVERYONE I've told about them have repeated their name in shock, and a lot (more than you'd hope) have asked if they dressed up in pillow cases.

Whaddafxup?

Most of my friends who hate the pillows say they do because of the fact that it's a nasaly guy singing in Japanese. When I point out the dumbshit lyrics of the music they like they tend to say "well uh no it's better."
