I don't like Manabes skills with the wah that much..... well just on Beautiful Picture.
I do use a wah and I gotta say it's kinda hard to get a good awesome solo out of it(Unless your Kirk Hammett or Jimi Hendrix :P)
Overall Manabe is aight at it :P

i kindda like him with it, he sounds to me as he just doesn't like to be like other guitarrists using it. he doesn't let it's sound get much explicit. it is so that this thread has been created 'cause someone couldn't really guess when he was using it or not.

edit: woah, Blues Drive Monster hasn't been said yet!?

i agree that he doesn't wanna sound like other guitars, but at the same time he could have put so much more of his Manabe Angry Skills into play and it would have sounded better. IDK maybe it would have :P Just assuming :P
And I was gonna say BDM too but I forgot :P
Does Beautiful Morning with you have it?

Actually, if you listen to Live Beat 99's STALKER, you'll see that Manabe actually OWNS the solo with his Wah.

EDIT: And technically advanced solos aren't necessarily better anyways. The hardest thing about playing a solo melody is put the emotion in it. You want to put your heart in soul to a powerful solo, but you also have to maintain complete control of that romantic power, or things will get out of control. This has happened to Manabe many times. It's hard being a soloist.
