Sounds like a solid single to me. I'm still looking forward to the Nine Miles songs A LOT more though

Definitely. And although it makes sense, cause you're Kaze no Mirai, who manages to listen to Nine Miles for more hours than there are in a day..I'm quite pumped for this too. ESPECIALLY if it sounds like Word of Mouth (Spiral Dub Mix). Oh, Nine Miles is smoldering with emotion.

Yeah, it's definitely one of those love it or hate it sounding things.

LA-LA-LA, LA-LA, LA-LA-LA
ONE WORD
LA-LA-LA, LA-LA, LA-LA-LA
A FEW MORE WORDS
LA-LA-LA, LA-LA, LA-LA-LA
HONK HONK HONKY HONK
LA-LA-LA, LA-LA, LA-LA-LA

I think it fits and makes the song really fun, but not liking it is completely understandable. As long as it isn't excessive vocalizing after the chorus like that retarded ELLA, ELLA, ELLA, EY, EY, EY Rhiana song... :dizzy:

The visual for it in the video starting on 1:19 kicks ass, though. :shred:

That's one of the reasons why I don't like the song.

I liked Tokyo Bambi from the beginning but Jupiter not so much. I thought it would grow on me like Lady Bird Girl but no such luck thus far.

I totally digged the song. For some reason, it reminds me of The Jetsons and Astro Boy :P But yeah very pop ish but I think its a better step than Ladybird Girl. I sort of fell that The Pillows are going back to their old songs(Don't ask me why, I just got the feeling)

The thing I'm REALLY hyped about is Nine Miles. FO SHO

FINALLY an accurate visual representation of the kind of creepy back alley pervert Sawao really is. Doesn't his character just look pedo in that video? xD!

I can't believe you guys are digging this pop rock song. this sounds like a quick song to appeal to the kiddies; it feels commercial. It doesn't feel genuine to me.

Lets all face it, the pillows are going down the road of wheezer and green day.

Heaven forbid that musical artists ever decide to sell their recorded material. Blasphemy to the art.

Also, I see that you really give/gave a shit about Weezer's career path by you not knowing how their name is spelled.

While I don't think the "poppiness" of a song should determine its quality, I think it's clear that the pillows are capable of writing better, diverse songs. Having knowledge of their skill and their former unique tendencies makes it hard for me to enjoy something like Go! Jupiter. And the video is really, really boring.

I think the pillows are definitely down a track of commercialism, and while that alone doesn't mean they can't still write good songs, it's still disheartening to see them pursuing fame for fame's sake. Combine that with the decline in quality and I can kind of see where Little Bastards is coming from. I don't really care if the pillows sell a million records, but I do care if they stop putting out good music.

Commercialism, fame for fame's sake, or fame for money's sake are all good and acceptable. Music would fail so terribly without any of these.
