I would have kept "Let's see if that's true or not" at the end. Otherwise, good job.

My first mix is still the best.

I usually start people off with Ritalin 202, actually... Carnival, Third Eye, and Hybrid Rainbow are my most often follow-ups... no specific order from there out.

I agree on that, plus I love that song
I think this is a pretty good topic, because this comes up often for me, especially with new people or friends that don't already know what I listen to.
I guess to be fair, its hard for me to introduce a person to the pillows that isn't already into or at least use to Japanese music (that doesn't know japanese) because most people I know only like music where they can understand the lyrics. I guess I could sit there and try to translate it or say what the song can be about, but I don't like to do that much.
So if I was going to introduce them to the pillows I'd put about 3 songs on a JRock complation where they used more english, or if it was just a really good song and include a lot of clear english speaking rock songs.

mars volta eh? i think they're a good band, except their latest album was kinda... strange. anyways, i'd try maybe stalker or something a little, heavier like sleepy head. i can't see a hard core mars volta fan getting into little bsuters the first time around

Really? Sucks. Maybe I'll just do Happy Bivouac with a dash of Sleepy Head and other B-sides and Smile [album].

1 - trip dancer
2 - midnight down
3 - kanojo wa kyou...
4 - carnival
5 - swanky street
6 - bye bye sweet pain
7 - something like a romance
8 - akanai tobira no mae de
9 - tashikame ni yukou
10 - another morning
11 - last dinosaur
12 - thank you, my twilight
13 - shiroi natsu
14 - hybrid rainbow
15 - fool on the planet (live) OR fool on the planet (botp closing)
trip dancer is indeed a very good way to start off. it's catchy and melodic and will grab attention quick. midnight down picks up the pace, but kanojo wa kyou bounces it back down a bit, leading into carnival, from which swanky street is easy to go to. bye bye sweet pain is upbeat enough to fit in with the previous songs, but has that jazzy feel that lets you put in some older stuff. so something like a romance gets its rightful place. akanai tobira and tashikame ni have similar sounds, so the transition is easy (but putting two sad songs together might not be the best idea). tashikame ni ends with enough energy that another morning can pick it up, and last dinosaur really gets things going. thank you, my twilight has energy and yet is romantic enough to lead into shiroi natsu. hybrid rainbow is a must. live of fool on the planet? yes please. maybe just use the audio of the end of busters on the planet where the whole damn audience sings along. very emotional ending.
