Ok, I've been listening to it for a while now, so here's my take on all the songs:
The Third Eye- Good shiz. I even like the first solo now. The chorus is good, the riffs are decent, and the whole thing is pretty much on-par with the song Nonfiction. Sawao's voice is really good.
Slow Down- Yes, it is somewhat annoying if you're listening to it as background music, but if you put on a pair of headphones and just listen to it, it's pretty cool. Also, this makes two songs in the same number of consecutive maxi singles to have songs with slowdowns in them. (the other one was Nonfiction)
Song of Farewell- It's good and all, but it really doesn't do much for me. Too bland maybe? I'm kind of glad it's not on the album, I dislike having songs that I have to skip over. *cough* monochromelovers *cough*
The overall product is better than the Nonfiction single, in my opinion. I really didn't like the Heart is There cover.

I really, really dig it.
They're finally breaking out of that "Good Dreams" style. Sounds a lot better than most of their recent stuff. I think They're getting back together.

Gah, you and your monochromatic hate! That's at least one of my top ten favorite songs... I'm sorry you can't enjoy it.
Monochrome Lovers' follow up => Multichrome haters?
And crap, I'm going crazy trying to hold out for my copy to get here, curse you YamanakaSawao1, Titan of Temptation, for posting that!

It's just bad... especially because the other songs on the album like Sha-la-la and Twilight Waltz are soooo good. It's totally outclassed by them. Makes me sad it was Kool Spice's single/first track.

My take:
The Third Eye is amazing. Great sound, lots of emotion in the chorus, fun riffs. The repetition somehow doesn't get boring. This is more of what I want to see the pillows get into.
Slow Down is probably in my 10 least favorite pillows songs. It's not really up to par with the other pieces they did for this single...Its funkiness just doesn't get to me.
Song of Farewell is nice, sort of got a Good Dreamsish vibe from me for some reason. It wasn't groundbreaking, but it was happy and easy to listen to. I need to listen to this more...
Overall grade: B+.

After some more listenings: Third eye indeed good. The one thing that really sucked in slow down for me was sawao's "nai", the rest of the song sounds like a normal b-side. Wakare no uta sounds more like something that would be on white incarnation, despite being bland I'm into it, I foresee it being mentioned on a future thread about underrated pillows songs.

We usually just buy their albums; and then download their b-sides.

I own several CDs, but not everything, and probably never will. I'll probably buy more stuff at some point.

The Third Eye - This is a really good song. I like it a lot and it makes me look forward to the album a lot more now that I've heard it. It makes a great single.
Slow Down - This song, personally, sounds awesome to me. I think it's a good track. It started off a little slow but by the end of it I felt like it was really rocking.
Song of Farewell - Good song. Not one of my favorites but for a B-Side it's really quite good. Maybe better than Slow Down, maybe not... I haven't made up my mind.

Didn't you say you hated Sha-la-la-la in another thread? I recall you calling it "bullshit".
