Wake Up Dodo - Feel The Pain (Dinosaur Jr.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQZmrdwK7YM --> 0.20 @ 0.20, when I first heard this song and that kinda intro, I immediately thought of the intro of Wake Up Dodo.

 Re: Song Relationships
Ohhhhh shit. At first I was like WAIT THAT SONG SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE DODO, but then I saw the specific time you were referring to. I would love to believe that Sawao is a Dino Jr fan.

 Re: Song Relationships
The bassline from Bob Marley's Stir It Up, is quite similar with the one from Never Find from the pillows (of the 90's My Life album) Upward of 3.21 of Never Find, and 4.04 in particular you can hear the similarities.

 Re: Song Relationships
Maybe I go to far this time to say this, but for Okujyo Ni Nobotte, it wouldn't surprise me if the part upward of 1.50 . . .is "taken" from the beatles' a day in the life.

 Re: Song Relationships
Blur are my favorite band, but that never really crossed my mind, simply because there are plenty of songs which start like that. But there is a slight similarity, I give you that.

 Re: Song Relationships
Yeah - starting a song with solo drum-beat is pretty old-hat. It also has a practical purpose, as a substitute for a count-in.

(Mabye you can post a blur thread, in the music section)[/quote] Well, I would simply recommend Midlife, a compilation which was released last year and is intended to be a sort of "beginner's guide" for those who want to get into Blur. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midlife:_A ... de_to_BlurIt's way better than their Best Of compilation, as it's much richer in terms of quality and diversity of songs.

Boogie (Thee Michelle Gun Elephant) - Cherry (the pillows) Well, the intro in particular. You could do a remix with this one =P
