I think everyone has known for a while now that all pillows' songs follow that structure mentioned, and I don't think it's a horribly bad thing. I mean, we're garuanteed about 85-90% of the time to hear at least a decent solo. But on the other hand, I can definitely understand they need to change the structure of songs every once in a while.
Only in Dreams was a really god example you used, it's defintiely worthy of being called an epic. It'd be awesome if the pillows could do something like that, but the last song I'd personally call an epic by them is the TB version of Our Halley's Comet. They need another song like Beautiful Morning With You. I think that song builds really well, after the first chorus in particular.

So, the 'bonus' that comes with this new single is a PV of LADY BIRD GIRL? Did Scarecrow mark the start of CD bonuses? Many new singles being released are now coming packaged with 'First Press' bonuses and such. Which album/single started this with The Pillows? It was the Scarecrow single, right?

They could at least put into the DVD some making off footages. Some concerts footages too.
It would be awesome to watch they playing part of any of the new songs. It would totally take more the one who bought, to the band.

Oh, so starting with the new label, Avex, they've started doing bonuses? That's pretty awesome. I actually found out the the 'Penalty Life' album came with a bonus sticker. Well, since the first album/single under the Avex label was Scarecrow, then from that single on there will be bonuses, huh.

Yeah, it seems this new label is really working out for them, publicity-wise.
I'm guessing it's due to Avex that the pillows have been able to secure all of these radio shows, tv spots, etc. Finally they're getting some real recognition.
I just picked up an issue of 音楽と人 (Ongaku to Hito) that featured the pillows. It has a really good photo shoot with the pillows (most pictures of a Sawao, a few of Manabe and Shin). Came with some cool pillows/Tower Records/Ongaku to Hito stickers too.
I'll scan the pictures and interview when I get back home.

moletown upped the PV.
I kind of like it. Same director as the last several, lol. It'd be cool if they dropped a disco ball when doing that song live.

Ugh. The only good thing about that PV was the fact that Sawao, Manabe, and Shin all looked really fine.
Seriously, Sawao's in his early 40s. What has science done?
The main thing I disliked was...well, the girl doll. So fucking nasty, seriously. I'll be listening to Ladybird Girl rather than watching the PV, thanks.
Oh, and: WHY THE HELL DOES JUN ALWAYS HAVE TO GET SHAFTED!? I can hear the bass, I know he had a hand in creating this song. I don't CARE if it's in "respect to the original three members"...He's been with the band for what, 8 years? Jun IS part of the pillows. This weird Japanese band hierarchy needs to die.

Yeah, there's a huge empty space between Sawao and Shinchan where Jun should be, especially since he's been getting interesting basslines lately.
I actually am addicted to the PV, it's awesome when he's all creepily in the window. And watching them play >>>>> silly doll.

I have decided, after hearing this song 50+ times. It is as good as, if not better, than Scarecrow.

Wow, that was goofy as hell.
Last Dinosaur's response on the youtube comments made me laugh so hard.
Sawao, comb your hair. Dude, seriously.
I don't really have a problem with dolls, so it wasn't off putting for me. Disco ball segment was great. Anybody see the Better Homes and Gardens magazine?
