You know, there are a lot of people on this board who speak good Japanese. If a full version of this song exists, I imagine that some member of the Japanese fandom has probably got it. Someone with a bit of free time and skills in nihongo really ought to infiltrate the Japanese fan community and try to get ahold of this song.

It's been long infiltrated, and if the full recording existed it would have been long leaked by now. The best we could hope for is that at least the pillows have it hidden away in their vault and it sees the light of day sometime.

That's a good point. But do you think it possible that perhaps bootlegs of early 90's shows exist and that some Japanese fans may have them? That doesn't sound implausible to me, and if so, it would be possible to at least get ahold of live recordings of certain songs like Liberty and Futures.

Then again, maybe I'm just grasping at straws

I guess it's possible, but if any fans have something like that they've sure done a good job of holding on to it and probably don't plan on giving it out. I've been in the file trading game a long, long time and I've never seen anything like that.
Who knows, though. I got the Kanojo wa sister PV and that "Henri Verdoux" video back in the day from trading with a Japanese fan, and before then I thought I'd never get to see the PV and didn't even know the other song existed. I can only hope that there are some more gems to be found.

Also, I love a good hoax, but... "Futures" doesn't exist.
Edit: Actually, a song called "Future" does exist according to setlist archives... Played during the Tiny Boat and Strange Chameleon tour. I guess we have something else to hope for after all.

Perhaps we could write Sawao a sweet letter and ask him to release some of this stuff. Lol. If the pillows were to release some sort of retrospective featuring songs like these or old live performances, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
