[quote="Brye916"]Here's my entry guys! Hope you all enjoy it! The video part took me a while but I'm happy with how it turned out. I feel like the video is far better than the actual cover.

You had some pitchy notes if I'm going to be brutally honest about it, but the quality of the video and the story you tell is absolutely top-notch. I hope you can make top 10, it's going to be very difficult for another video to top yours in its overall composition regardless of the musical aspect.

Sweet submission, Brye. Gotta echo Mare on the pitch stuff though.

1) You may wanna fix your guitar's intonation. Your tuner may say your guitar is perfectly in tune, but when you start fretting notes, your guitar sounds out of tune with itself. You'll need a tuner and a mini alan key and/or baby screwdriver for this. Cause no matter how good your playing is, it's gonna sound like dookie if you have poor intonation.

2) It's always cool to see people playing around with the vocal melody (since the pillows will break up before they switch up *anything* in their live performances) but the choruses didn't really work for me. That was defo the weakest part, some straight up "not even in the ball park" notes.

3) Seriously though, really really cool music video. What an accomplishment!

Thanks guys! I wanted to redo the chorus parts cause I just couldn't hit the notes the way I wanted to but in the end it would sound the same so I was like fuck it. Your right about my guitar GR, its so fucking out of tune with itself. I'm just gonna buy a new guitar cause its about time homeboy got a new bag of toys.

I've always wondered if Men's Pallows is a professional cover band? They have all the gear down, they're like the Strawberry Fields or the Fab Faux of the pillows.

Yeah, not even just the gear, but the mannerisms of the players as well. There's the Jun Suzuki power-stance, and the Manabe-sway.

Yup, the stage positioning of each member, the stances, etc. as well...I admire their dedication.

I would have liked Psuedonym and Brye's covers a lot more if it weren't for the vocals. They're just really unnatural in both.

The vocals will be the death of me in this contest. I'm not great at singing, so add Japanese and I'm like dafuq...

No worries, you have a companion in destiny. I am not great at singing either... but I'm strong-willed. I have taken lessons in singing and stuff...and I requested my teacher if we could do this 'Japanese song' .
I would say do not try too hard...but at the same time do not be ashamed/afraid for sining, be relaxed. Maybe some background vocals would also be a nice idea.
Anyway participating in the cover contest is rewarding in itself :shred:

I liked both of your covers a lot though, vocal issues aside.
