nope, not I. I meant to say a tad beyond the edge of the frame (not in the picture, but almost - well a bit of my arm or something may be in their somewhere, but I can't make it out), but my late night brain didn't notice the error. I do, however, wish I was that person, way up in the front like that, I had two people between me and the stage. Then again those two people were petite Japanese girls so my PENIS was happy :0)
you can however see the setlist I tried in vain to get...

i mean he DID see his mother be murdered. and he sings about drugs sometimes because he dealed crack at a young age. he lost a lot of loved ones at a very young age too. he didn't start dealing drugs until that happened.
For realz. Artical of some sort that confirms that, screen shot, picture, tits, or it didn't happen.

Whoa, interesting news, pretty awesome setlists. I should really find the time to come here more often.
(I read the whole thread; nice debate guys. I easily agree with GoldenRhino and Mare, though, in general.)
Off-topic:

Get it right, noob. このよのはて間で。
Sorry for typing the english translation of the song, apparently it didn't meet your expectations . By the way, it's この世の果てまで, if you're going to bitch someone out for something like that, at least look up the correct characters. You're worse than that guy who cursed me out for capitalizing "The Pillows", or typing "Hybrid Rainbow" instead of "HYBRID RAINBOW". Nazis for life.
Yeah, that was me. I totally admit that I'm a grammar/whatever Nazi. (Though I'm pretty sure that Thinliine was just joking with you.) However, I realized after seeing all the responses that I was being stupid, and, though I hadn't intended to curse you out at all, I came off that way; so, seriously, sorry about that. I think I've "grown up", too. I'm still a "Nazi"...but it doesn't bother me when other people aren't correct about things so much as when I'm not (and I've learned not to just randomly correct strangers about pointless things). But, being so big on language and grammar, the whole differences in capitalization thing has really intrigued me, and I still find that it bears mentioning. I don't remember ever seeing any discussion about it anywhere. Some other Japanese bands do it somewhat with English (there's no capitalization in Japanese, duh!), too, particularly including noodles. I feel that there must be a reason to do it...right? It's not like it's arbitrary. I don't know. It kind of gives me a feel for the song, adds something to the effect of the title, just like the words do. I guess that in English we don't find anything remarkable about capitalization because we're so used to just doing it a certain way, but I find it cool that Sawao and others have played around with it. I mean, when see the titles "RUSH" and "shiroi natsu to midori no jitensha, akai kami to kuroi gitaa." (or "white summer and green bicycle, red hair with black guitar.", if you'd prefer, especially since the kanji & kana can't be lowercase like that), I get completely different impressions. Those are two extremes, and the words themselves obviously play a big part, but you see what I mean, right? eh, whatever...I could discuss this a lot more, and, if people are actually interested a separate thread should be started, because I don't want to mess with this one anymore than it already is.

Dang, that's not even too bad compared to some things that I write. I only ever think to use paragraphs when I'm completely changing the subject. Heh, sorry.

I can understand your reasoning for it. If I were the artist and specifically wanted HYBRID RAINBOW and not Hybrid Rainbow then I'd want that written the way I wanted on the album, and any time the song got any press.
But this is the Internet, we're down to bare-bones communication, where sophisticated members of society's elite and 13 year old pubescent teens are grouped together. The point I'm trying to make is for the purposes of communication, "HYBRID RAINBOW", "Hybrid Rainbow", and "hybrid rainbow" all do what they need to do, which is list the song title. There is a time to draw the line however- "hybrid RAINBOW" and "HyBrId RaInBoW" both communicate much differently from the former 3.
I'm not going to discuss this any further, I do remember that conversation a while ago, and I'm basically just repeating what I said before. I don't think either of us are going to move from our stance on that issue so consider it dropped. There's no sense in reviving a dead issue that no one really gives a shit about.

I talked briefly with Sawao after the Chicago show, and asked him to come back to Chicago and play Shiroi. He seemed really pleased that someone was requesting it.

Re:
STFU and Look, I'm sick and tired of yall critisizing the pillows. I know EVERYTHING there is to know about the pillows. They are the best band out there, and if you don't think so, well you don't know music and you don't even listen to all of the pillows' songs. Some of the songs may be a little nasty but that isn't all Sawao sings about. He sings about violence bacause he had somuch of it in his life! i mean he DID see his mother be murdered. and he sings about drugs sometimes because he dealed crack at a young age. he lost a lot of loved ones at a very young age too. he didn't start dealing drugs until that happened. Maybe you all should give their music a chance- by one of their cds. One day, i will meet the pillows and tell them all about what i think. the pillows are the best!
I really agree with what overAmped is saying here and we should all cut Sawao some slack considering everything he's been through.
It would just completely suck if if Avex was like: "Ok, pillows. You guys wanna sell more records? We'll help you. We'll help you like you've never been helped before, with ads, tours, tons of exposure. We can do this for you, but you guys gotta change a little. Dumb it down. Feedback? We don't even know what that is. Cut that out. People don't like it when you stress the vocals Sawao, take it easy. Polish your sound! More production! You don't think Ayumi Hamasaki got where she is by being rough around the edges. People don't need these complex riffs - more powerchords!"
We don't yet know the why behind this, or how it will turn out for them. But I'm honestly a little scared about this move. Hell maybe the pillows want to move in the direction of My Foot. Sigh...
Well I think we can all agree that this will definitely never happen.

Wish I could travel back in time and reassure my 16 year old self that we were actually headed for a decade of solid gold hits.
