oh WOW, I really want to go see the NY show. It's only 10 hours from my humble home here in Canada. Only problem is, I'm young - I don't know if they will let me across the border. That would be incredible though.
(yeah, am new)
Hahaha, I know your pain, my friend. I live in Massena, NY. The only reason people come here is by mistake.
On the note of why the pillows are also playing in mostly 21+ bars is that (this is only a theory on my part) in Japan, most of the fans of the pillows are university students or older. The younger crowds have never heard of them. Even if they watch M-ON, they still probably wouldn't know who they were. They hear the music, label it as 'crappy and depressing' and move on to their Ayu and their Nobody Knows. When I went to Namiki Junction, I was the youngest person there. There was even this random 30 year old woman who kept telling all of us that she was thirty, and the woman I went with was 54! (But she worked for a radio station). Ah, I'm rambling. Anyways, yeah. Coughy cough cough.
you know i think hes right cause in the thank you very much i like you busters video i saw a very old looking woman in the crowd.

I'm a girl, but whatever. Also, Sawao asked us all how old we were, and most of the people in the room said "daigaku-sei" or random ages. With the exception of random 30-year old woman. After that he said "Yeah, that's what I thought. Most of the people that listen to our music are 20(hatachi) or older." And then one girl was like "Yeah! I'm 17!!" Which again prompted random 30-year old woman to tell us all her age. (-_-;)
Well if you live close to it and its 21 + I dont think it would hurt to try and get in.
That's exactly what I'm going to do. I'd only be losing $8 on a BART ticket to SF, so it's worth a shot. I still want to go to a show that I know I'll be able to get into though.

At the show that you went to was the crowd overwhelmingly female? When I saw the Pillows the whole venue seemed to be filled with women in their twenties. There were like 4 men at the show. I though that was kind of interesting.

note: also 21+.
the show i went to was a good mix of guys and girls. but most looked to be in their twenties, though there were a few older women.

I think I'll help jedi out with the OC/LA venues.
After checking about a dozen places here and about 20 places in LA, I haven't found a damn thing mentioned or hit about the Pillows, Noodles, or anyone they're preforming with coming here yet. I checked the offical venue sites that list events up to next fall . . stll nothing, but the crusade moves on.

has anyone confirmed the 21+ age w/id for the SF show?.. or does this strictly imply that kids CANNOT go with their parents? [desperate now.. the show's during my spring break!! gah.]
