I agree. I've only listened to about half of their discography so far (nearly all of their 90s albums, which I love to death), and I was rather sceptical what I'd expect from the 00s stuff, because, let's be honest, a band that has released 16 albums in 18 years it's bound to have a marginal drop in quality eventually. But not The Pillows. Penalty Life is amazing, Thank You My Twilight is really good and Pied Piper, even though being a simple, straightforward pop-rock album is still catchy as fuck. Truly remarkable. I'll start listening to Wake Up! soon, but from the few tracks I've listened so far, I reckon it'll be another lovely record.
All the same, it would be good for them to take a rest.

Re: New single - Rodeo Star Mate 01/27/10 Thanks for this man. Well, I can say Sad Fad Love is defintiely better than Fighting Pose, that's for sure. It's a pretty decent song, but the bad Engrish is starting to get a bit old. Still though, a decent melody, and another nice solo by Manabe.
