here you guy guys, photos from NY gramercy theaters and a couple of photos from anime boston. http://s281.photobucket.com/albums/kk230/pillowsfan05/
due to the strict photo rules i couldnt get too many pics from anime boston. Also I found it funny that Sato was wearing blue clogs hahahaa. The band was doing a lot of funny gestures for the photograph session after the panel, but my pics came out blurry

Though the band's actual performance was great, I think this was my least favorite pillows' show in NY. The setlist was definitely my least favorite this time around, although I guess no setlist can please everyone. But no "Last Dinosaur" was disappointing.
A few in the crowd did not know how to behave. It's understandable to jump around and be excited to see a show, but if you and you're two friends are the only ones "moshing" in a crowd than you are neither cool nor welcome. I saw some smaller girls get elbowed in the head and some dude damn near punch a girl because he thought she pushed him. You're there to see a band perform songs made famous by an anime, not Metallica. Take it down a notch. And I'm not new to concerts either. I've been in crowds ten times larger than that.
Anyway, I guess the most disappointing thing was not being able to see the band after the show. I was lucky enough to meet them twice before, but my friends and I waited over an hour at the front entrance to get an autograph or two. At least we got some free stale donuts out of it. Hooray.

I got elbowed in the side of the head during Blues Drive Monster and didn't mind it at all
It's the first show where I didn't get to speak with the band before or after the show (and will likely be the first US tour DVD I don't show up on), and the setlist was the same we've seen twice before... but it still rocked. Definitely worth the 18-hour Greyhound ride in from Chicago. Got to meet Camio and Busterkun_Scarecrow which was cool, didn't think I'd wind up running into anybody. Some more guys from Chicago were behind me and my friend in line but I wasn't feeling too social at that point because the day had been pretty miserable up to that point (the first day in a new city always sucks with figuring out the public transit stuff, our hotel was across the river in Jersey).
I dig New Animal and Mr. Droopy live, but I honestly don't think I'll care for the album versions too much. Well, maybe New Animal I'll still like (edit - I think I will, it kicks ass), but Mr Droopy sounds sort of... expendable to me. It kicked ass live, though, I believe I screamed out "HOLY SHIT NEW ENGRISH SONG"
Edit: They looked like they were having a TON of fun. Jun had the biggest smile plastered on his face the whole time (tried to do a Fragments shout-out but he didn't hear). Sawao coming out for the second encore and saying "We are very tired" was hilarious.
I have a bunch of crappy camera shots I'll post up once I develop them (assuming I get time to do so at some point... spring break always winds up being a stressfest, soemhow). Next show, though, I'm bringing my little video camera with a minor mic attachment.

Camio, as much as its fun to jump around and get into the music, the reason a lot of us traveled from hours away was to see them play. Granted, the crowd was more "tame" then I expected, but I enjoyed it that way.
We all sang along, raised our fists, cheered and danced a little. Some individuals I noticed (and they are at every show) go nuts to virtually every song as if they have to out do others. There was one kid there who was having a spaz attack the entire show, so much so that I don't understand how he could even enjoy the show cause he was never even looking and most likely not really listening. Might as well be at home listening to a CD.
To each their own, but to be really into the music and the band you dont have to consistently be going nuts... I wanted to watch them play and enjoy the show, not be the show. But of course, I'm singing along just as much as anyone else.

Yeah I think it was my friend who started that mosh (it was his first concer... he just wanted to mosh). Yeah well I've waited for like 2 hours for those guys to come out and they never did. Did any of u of you guys see me? Brown skinned kid with curly hair and glasses wearing navy blue jeans, jacket, sneakers and a cranberry hoody?

I got the opposite, kind of. During the first two songs, I had two-three small girls who probably weren't even 18 yet insist on fighting/moshing with each other and elbowing/hitting me from behind consistantly. By the third song, I had gotten pushed up from my original position 3 deep all the way up to 1 deep.
By the way, anyone remember what song the guy called out that made Sawao go "No, no... too old."
