Really though, the only song I'll skip on HB every time is Our Love and Peace...and Advice. Everything else is wet spot in my pants good. Also, Little Busters > Runners High, just on account of having fewer "skip" songs for me. I do love me some Paper Triangle though.
There are no skippable songs on Runners High. Just hit after hit after hit.

Spike, this is why nobody wants to help you forever. (fight, fight, fight, fight; but also I dunno, I can see somebody finding things like Borderline Case boring, for sure)

Re: Happy Bivouac Is Perfect
Runners High is great but there are no real solid "hits" on it for me. Maybe Instant Music.
Team Happy Bivouac for life.

It just brings some good vibes. Not gonna lie, I like Sad Sad Kiddie too....the chorus is just good stuff.

Re: Happy Bivouac Is Perfect
Borderline Case is probably my favorite on Runners High, tbh. I mean, I love basically everything on it, but that one's special.

Re: Happy Bivouac Is Perfect
Both Happy Bivouac and Runners High have their charms and are both solidly amazing albums. I do agree that Happy Bivouac is a stronger competitor in terms of overall quality as an album because the songs are all so solid. But I have such an attraction to the edginess that Runners High delivers. Like I can't explain it any better than Happy B. is my go to for the simple pleasure of listening to solid tracks that set me in a feel good mood. But I go to Runners High for a fresh new taste and the edginess it gives me. tl;dr: BOTH ALBUMS ROCKS MY SOCKS Edit: ALSO...

There are no skippable songs on Runners High. Just hit after hit after hit.
Sad Sad Kiddie, skip. Borderline Case, skip.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!

Re: Happy Bivouac Is Perfect
Happy Bivouac opens with one of their best songs, Runners High opens with Sad Sad Kiddie. Runners High has some amazing songs, but it also has several that are very average and if you stacked them up against each other Happy Bivouac would win every time.
Happy Bivouac vs. Sad Sad Kiddie? No question. Juliet vs. Last Dinosaur, White Ash vs. Carnival, Paper Triangle vs. Crazy Sunshine, it's not even a contest. Happy Bivouac has more hits.
Not trying to shit on anyone's favorite album here, really. I just think that Happy Bivouac raises the bar right from the start and never lets up.

Re: Happy Bivouac Is Perfect
The thing about Sad Sad Kiddie that turns me off is that Engrish. Sad Sad Kiddie Sulu~~

But I love the guitar work on that song, always have.
Borderline Case is great too, but then you get to the chorus and it sounds like he's saying "I wanna be your giiiirlfriend."

Re: Happy Bivouac Is Perfect
HB is definitely one of the best. Kim Deal used to be the most important thing to my existence. Now it is an old favorite. I find myself listening to a lot more of the title track, Our Love and Peace and Beautiful Morning with You these days.
Good to see another HB commemoration thread after so long!

Re: Happy Bivouac Is Perfect
Our Love and Peace and Beautiful Morning With You are the two weakest songs on the album imo but they are both fantastic, especially the latter.
Anyone else think Happy Bivouac is better than Please Mr. Lostman?

Re: Happy Bivouac Is Perfect
I dunno, I'm in the camp that thinks Little Busters is their best album. Don't get me wrong, I love all three of the holy trinity, yet, when it comes down to it, there's only one song I want to skip on LB (That House; crucify me,) whereas RH has three (Sad Sad Kiddie, White Ash, Runners High,) and HB has two (Rush and Carnival.) It's not even as though I dislike these songs per se, it's just that there are times where I don't want to hear those songs.
Plus, Little Busters has: One Life (#1) Hybrid Rainbow (#? top ten fo sho) Nowhere (#3)
To me, One Life, FotP, Bokura no Halley, Nowhere, and HB are the pillows' most striking songs, so having three of them on one album, which is already fantastic edges it out for me.
