Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
When I first saw this I thought that someone had bumped an old April Fool's thread.
Kenji Ueda. Huh.

Fukurouzu is a pretty cool band. Curious to see what they'll do with Hybrid Rainbow.

Pretty crazy. Looks like they're re-visiting their old discography.

Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
Nice read there, from what I could decipher of course. It seems like there were some fans in Japan that were a little uneasy about the hiatus over the past year and a half. Now that may be normal for every other band... but not for the pillows, so I can see why some were a little confused. Also... Can't believe they brought those kids in from the Tokai no Alice video. Nice. Also of note, the article mentions Winona Ryder when talking about the song "Winona". Someone want to take a closer look and see if this song is actually about Winona Ryder. Because that would be HYSTERICAL!

Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
I guess they weren't playing shows or anything between 2012-2013.

Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
OK, so I think it's time we really start to get excited for this 25th anniversary. Let's get some buzz going for this, especially with this new tidbit of info I found, and apparently has been posted to the pillows site for a few days. Apparently, remembering the first movement isn't enough, so the band is also doing three shows for, "Do You Remember 2nd Movement?" Two at the end of March, and one in April. Apparently they have a touring keyboardist with them right now who will be present, but there's no mention that I saw of Kashima coming back:

And here's a link concerning the mini-tour from the pillows site: http://pillows.jp/p/skd/the-pillows-tour-2
A working translation of the first article would be really helpful. My interpretation is that it will feature all music from the Kool Spice and Living Field, but with no Kashima. Either way, this is friggin exciting and I'm envious of all fans in Japan right now.

Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
Doesn't really say anything that hasn't been mentioned. They're touring with Kaminarigumo's keyboardist as a guest musician for a few shows focusing on their "2nd period" songs, which is from when Kenji left up through the alt-rock sound from Strange Chameleon onwards.
Should be amazing, looking forwards to a DVD collection of all the movements combined into one set.

Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
So from the looks of it, this show was awesome, and the set list... holy shit I can't believe this all actually happened. 1. Kimi Ga Iru (You Are) 2. Razorlike Blue 3. Ame ni Uteba (If You Sing in the Rain) 4. Paper Moon ni Koshikakate (Sitting on a Paper Moon) 5. Bokura no HAREE Suisei (Our Halley's Comet) 6. Pari no Josei Marie (Parisian Girl Marie) 7. Kono Mama Koko De (Right Here Like This) 8. Energy 9. Want To Sleep For... 10. I Want to Be Sullivan 11. Sayounara Tansai Wakusei (Goodbye Third Planet) Encore 1 1. 90's My Life Encore 2 1. Boku wa Kakera (I'm a Broken Piece) http://deadlistparadise.blog91.fc2.com/blog-entry-398.html If I had to gripe, it'd be that I wish the show was longer... but I can't gripe because the fact that this happened is amazing. So many good songs that probably haven't been played in 15 years, AT LEAST! I can only imagine how amazing it was to see Sayonara Third Planet close out the main set. And I think we can safely say this is the most we've seen songs from White Incarnation played in a single set since 1995. Can't wait to see some video of this, hopefully in the form of a DVD later this year.

Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
This is awesome! I was hoping to see more 90s My Life stuff though. Like I Don't Cry, or "Though My Voice Disappears in the Wind".
If you think about it, we've heard 5 out of those 12 songs recently. Parisian Woman Marie as recently as the 15th anni, then the two 90s My Life songs... plus Bokura no Haresuisei and I wanna be sullivan. Ah well. This is still loads of awesome. I can't wait to hear this!

Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
Razorlike Blue is really surprising to see. Luckily, that's the one song from the Ueda era I always wanted to hear live. Fingers crossed for a DVD.

Re: 90s MY LIFE RETURNS AGAIN
I was hoping for razorlike blue and engery, and got both. I knew they'd go with more "familiar" first era songs like Halleys Comet, Sullivan and Broken Piece... even want to sleep for, but still, this is old school. Boo to short set lists.
