Vacant House packs in a lot for it's duration, the feel of the lyrics sounds like coping with loss and rebounding or something of that nature. Old Sundial is pretty boss too. The Beautiful Lip isn't bad, not my favorite on the album but not bad. Not fully on board with Youth Club; it's a bit sleepy, doesn't really do anything for me. Am I hearing "I wanted us to mix and match?" lol. And in rehabilitation, "Can I be normally?" He could really use a native english speaker to be a parrot in the room when he records...

The Sawao-ese gets me every time, but it is what it is. In Youth Club, there's a line that sounds like "We could be the hairstyle", but I can't understand the line after that. The first four tracks of this album are killer, especially Devil's Pub. I went running while I listened to this and I found that Vacant House is an great running song, it has a perfect tempo. Doll and Youth Club aren't really working for me, but Absurd Song picks things up again. I really like Absurd Song, really, it's a lot of fun.

Lyrics completely change everything.

I really feel like this album is so much stronger than Discharge. (I don't know much about musical composition so my opinions are purely emotional responses.) It just seems like really chill music you would want to listen to while drinking coffee with that special someone. All of these songs are more memorable than Discharge. Discharge has this funny thing with me that I can never remember what the songs sound like. Those songs seem like they were written in 2 seconds. You listen to Discharge and you feel like "That's it?" and like you mentally decayed. TM changes that a bit. It restores my faith in Sawao a little. Reading what he's saying and making sense of it makes me so sad. He puts himself down in all his songs, saying he's a terrible person and all that. I don't doubt that he is a terrible man. He does that in a lot of songs, solo work and pirrows. I riiike.

I find it hilarious that Sawao is trying to convey these feelings of his in terrible Engrish. My frustration at lines like "And my born flash was very easy" is very real. But I think I understand what Sawao is trying to say. The guitars help. Kashima does good. And Sawao really knows how to make does guitars work when they need to.

I like this a lot.

This album is all about Mexico Pub, Rehab, and Youth Club. Especially Rehabilitation.

But I can't see myself ever liking this more than Discharge.
