Not quite that extreme. I think they've been playing 13-14 songs a show in the US, with 3-4 being newer ones? I also don't think they've ever gone back more than their two most recent albums for "new" songs.


I'm echoing Terra's cautious excitement at this point. A San Francisco show should be a lock as always, but never know for sure until we get confirmation. They can play Comic Sonic five times over just as long as they deliver Swanky Street. Hopefully the reaction Sawao playing the first verse got last time will be enough to convince them that they have room for [i]one[/i] old song that not everyone will know in their setlist.

I'm glad to see they are touring in the States once again. Hope to see more venues cause if not then I'm driving up to Seattle. I know some of you are not so stoked to hear Comic Sonic live but you know your going to have a fucking crazy good time at the show.

Hmm...it's too late for them to show up at SXSW again, but I do hope they do a show somewhere closer to TX. If not, guess I'm going to Seattle.

I'll go if I happen to be near one of the shows at the time they're playing. Not going out of my way, though. I've seen their US set twice, and the only thing that will change is which forgettable new material they inject alongside FLCL favorites.

Noodles, on the other hand, interests me. Their San Francisco set last year was a bit lacking, but maybe they'll be able to play more this time around.

The Noodles are the one thing that [i]doesn't[/i] interest me. It seems like that band exists only as Sawao's pet or something. And I'm even interested in seeing the pillows' new material live.

I just want to see some new songs added to the set list as all, and I think that's reasonable. It's been what, 7 or 8 years since FLCL premiered? Having a few songs show up from whatever set lists they play in Japan prior shouldn't be too hard to pull off. The only thing, is that I think Sawao and the gang like playing these FLCL songs. We may get Carnival, Sleepy Head, and ROSS every time they play here, but how often do they play those songs regularly in Japan? According to the setlists, not all that often actually. I just hope there's some kind of balance.

Also, not as interested in the noodles as I was last year. Explorer was pretty forgettable, and they seem to have given up any hope of playing any older material... so yea, kinda ruins it for me.
