The before and after 20th Anniversary art is pretty sweet. I just wish it were more detailed and the style was less anime/manga-esque.

I don't really care about the style, all of that is pretty awesome. Especially that one of Manabe with the red background.

OK, Sawao's vocals are really fucking good on this one! That Kim Deal performance is AWESOME! Haha, I'm so glad he's not straining his voice like he usually does! Trust me guys, this is a good one.

All of the MCs have English subtitles as well.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! Of course they do this now as opposed to last year when I bought Pied Piper Goes to Yesterday and Blue Poppies. Tidus, if you somehow rip this, you will be a god! And by the way, how was Curly Rudy? Did he preface it with anything since it's been a while since the last time they played it?

All of the old songs came out great! Sawao's vocals were so good! I don't know what caused him to be able to sing this well, but he should continue in this fashion. Kim Deal, Curly Rudy, and Sleepy Head were amazing.

More than anything, OOParts sounds WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better live... Lemon Drops was fucking awesome, as well as Beyond the Moon. Seriously guys, you're in for a treat with Beyond the Moon. I thought it would suck live due to high up it's written, but Sawao seriously managed to pull it off here.

The only performance I didn't like was the one for Kono yo no hate made... it's been done too many times, and the vocals weren't cohesive enough on that one.

Oh yeah, and dudes? BEST PERFORMANCE OF AMEAGARI NI MITA MABOROSHI EVER! Sawao put one of the most emotional OH YAERs I've heard in a while at the end, it blew me away.

And yes, the MCs Sawao comments that he has written a lot of new songs over the course of the tour, and that the pillows will have a new album for JCB very soon! He also states how much he loves his life in the pillows, and that the pillows' "20th year is our new beginning!" So I guess they don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

Another thing, Satou. He made a really funny joke. the pillows worked really hard on the bonus footage (trust me, it is hilarious) for this DVD, and during the performance he mentioned to the crowd that the DVD release for the OOParts tour would be "BUSTER-KUN GOES TO OOPARTS" and that the bonus footage would instead be "this night's performance!" Haha!!!! I laughed my ass off.

It was very inspiring stuff. I realized from watching this that the pillows are definitely still my favorite band and will probably always be. Great Performance, great words.

I'm so excited for this DVD, especially knowing that it has subtitles. That's fantastic, but I wish they'd thought of that a while ago.

also, even FOXES was tolerable live.

From what i've seen the subtitles are only in the MC segments between songs. Watching Shin wearing the Buster suit and people running up to hug him was pretty funny.

Wow what an awesome DVD... and concert! It was so great seeing them have fun with Curly Rudy, and the way they played Sleepy Head with such energy was amazing. I can't believe they're all in their 40's, I think it's safe to say they'll be playing music together as long as they physically can. Most of the OOPARTS songs sounded pretty good live, Beyond the Moon fared better from the live treatment, as did Foxes. The crowd seemed real surprised with No Substance. I love it when they pull out songs like that!

And the subtitles made it all the better. I was cracking up at so many moments, especially during the whole explanation of the Buster suit. Too bad they couldn't have shipped th costume with them to the US last month.
