For some reason I forgot to mention that Sawao said he was very surprised by their popularity here and that he does want to do another US tour in the future.

What really bugs me is that in the time after this meeting I've thought of so many great questions that I really wanted to ask them. But at the time, all that was going on in my head was "OMG I'M SITTING RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE PILLOWS!!" :\

it's a japanese seniority thing i think. the others are the original members so they're ranked higher so to speak.

the organizer said they'd put this together on 18 hours notice, not to mention it was a really crappy rainy day, so there really weren't many people there (20 or so).

sawao also said he was the pillows' biggest fan and that he never stops working, but the others like vacation.

when asked how they write their songs, he said that he would come up with a melody line, and they would just get together and jam and come up with something without really writing it down.

there were people videotaping... i hope they share.

manabe- i forgot. i want to say it was bob marley or something like that but i'm not 100% sure...

the noodles mentioned the breeders as well. they didn't say a whole lot. ayumi kept saying 'yep, the same!' and ikuno would too after whatever yoko said. ;;^^

Manabe did say Bob Marley. He also said someone after that, but I can't remember who. Hm.

By the way, I was the guy in the white sweatshirt that asked about the songwriting.
