Nice little Beatles rip off there. This is the second time Sawao has ripped off across the universe. You'd think he'd find someone else to steal shit from for a change. Also, this song blows. I am very disappointed.

HAHA. Wow. Anyway, lyrically taking from the beatles is FAR from ripping them off. I don't hear a single drip of Across the Universe in the melody, so they're safe there. Seriously, stop bitching about something ripping something else off. When the pillows "write" a beatles song with the exact same melody and song structure for the entire song and then just slap on new lyrics, then try to claim that they wrote the song and lyrics, then you can start bitching about them ripping off the beatles.

The pillows don't have a song called Please Mr. Postman, and using the title of a song in your lyrics isn't ripping a song off, it's a sort of tribute to another artist, haha.

also, ROSS: "Beep Beep, Beep Beep, YEAH!"
Direct Beatles REFERENCE/TRIBUTE, not RIP-OFF.
It's the same when Zazen Boys play RIFF MAN and go into their little Led Zep Immigrant Song "tribute", you know, bouncing between F# and the octave. They have fun with it. Nobody in the audience goes "Hey, they just stole Led Zeppelin's riff!" They know Mukai digs that band, and he wants to show it.
If I ever write lyrics for songs in the future, I'm sure a few pillows, number girl, and/or zazen boys references may show up. And that's just because they've influenced who I am musically, I guess. Just the same as Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, and The Pixies have done for Sawao.

Don't you guys know? You should never reference anything in your lyrics. "MacArthur Park" is a complete rip-off of the Los Angeles park that has the same exact name. Even the Beatles are guilty of this act, naming their works such things as "Penny Lane" and Abbey Road. God-damn ripoffs, all of them.

Last night I saw some shit on Elvis and realized John Lennon referenced one of his lyrics.
"Well I'd rather see you dead than to be with another man."
Well, guess what, John? You're the dead one, and you deserved it, you plagiarizing hippie.

Why did I picture Stephen Colbert reading that?

Sawao's influences show up alot in his music. Sometimes very blatantly. (wonderful sight?) You should know that by now.

Didn't the beatles ripped off many songs in the past?
The first album they did was basically just cover songs.
What about they rippedd of bob dylans work right?
With norweing wood..
Actually. The Rolling stones Ruby Tuesday sounds so much like
strawberry fileds forever. rip off?
There called "influences"
