That sounds awesome. My thoughts exactly on Daddy too. Great band - horrible singer.
I love crazy sunshine more than ever now.
Well, during soundcheck I got to listen to manabe play some classical. He played Air, man. Not AAAAAAIIIIIRRRRRR. Air.
That sounds so awesome though, I'm so glad the tour is going so well. It's a shame they didn't move the pillows to the last show like they did at Pianos though.

turns out that they wanted to hear FLCL only. like i said before, i don't mind the FLCL songs. i love them to death. but i don't want them to play only FLCL songs. i wanna hear stuff like kanojo wa kyou and no self control. stuff from smile and TYMT...

The Knitting Factory was fucking NUTS during the Pillows. I was up front, next to Manabe and it was awesome. There was some douche next to me who kept demanding picks from the Noodles and the Pillows before they even played. One person got something signed by Sawao but it was too crazy for anyone else. I didn't really luck out because I was going for Manabe's set list but the damn kid next to me got to it a split second earlier. I liked it when Sawao was talking about how everything is big in America. "Statue of Liberty: BIG. Hamburgers: BIG. People: BIG. Pillows: small," and everyone was saying no and stuff. I also liked the Noodles. There was a japanese girl next to me video taping (I knew she was Japanese because her camcorder had Japanese on the screen.) And Daddy...ugh. It was brutal. I think my eardrums were contemplating suicide during their performance. It was funny because the lead singer was talking about the Mummy or something and someone yelled, "We don't care!" The only down side was all I could hear were the guitars and some bass and drums. I could not hear Sawao's vocals at all. Ugh, my ears are still ringing from it but it was a great time.
Oh, and the best part was when Sawao stage dived while playing and then after Advice, he stage dived again! I'll get some pictures up when I develop them. Oh, and Culen, I thought Jun did a good job on the bass. It didn't sound any different to me, although my ears were right next to a speaker.

Yea, it was funny how disrespected Daddy got. There was also a really funny part where Sawao goes, "ARE YOU LITTLE BUSTERS?!" and some guy next to me goes to his friend, "Did he just ask if we were little bastards?". I was dying.

Yes, that was an awesome show. I was up front center, kind of touching the satge, i was behind one girl though, but i was pretty close. The Noodles came on first and were awesome. The drummer was so adorable. She drank water and just said "water" and everyone screamed "WATER". And then Daddy, i wanted to die. Not that bad of instrumentals, but god the singer. And the drummer came out with an undershirt on that said "F*** Everybody" so my brother just screamed as a joke "whoo yeah F*** everybody" Then, the singer came out, whom i first thought was a man after her "Hoo hoo hoo" Then, she later took a drink of water and spat all over me. Thats when i began to really hate her. She then insulted everyone's actual dad and said "we're your real daddy. Your dad is probably some dead beat shit head, but we're your real daddy" i hated that! Then, my brother just started chanting after one of their songs "Pillows, pillows, pillows" Normally, id tell him he was being an ass, but after that girl spit and stuff, it was ok. Then the pillows came on. By the way im sorry i have pics of the noodles, but i couldnt reach my hands into my pocket when the pillows came on, it got so squished in by then. So anyway, everyone was cheering, it was great. They started playing and it was awesome. for some reason my favorite song they did was Runners High, it just got everyone dancing and it just was so great. Manabe had a big grin on his face the whole time. Sawao was so energetic and happy to be there. Everything was great. Then, at the end, i got sawao and jun's autographs. i tried so hard to get manabe's, but i couldnt. Also, during the show, i gave sawao a high five, a fist pump, i touched his leg and knee, his guitar, and i supported his stage dive. The other stage dive i just touched his shoes. I also touched manabe's guitar a couple times during solos. It was such a show. And im so glad i got my T-shirts before the show, they sold out before the pillows played. So yeah, it was awesome. And it was the first concert iv'e been to, and probably the best ill ever go to.

Yeah, it was awesome when Manabe would stick his guitar out during solos. I was so close that I got splashed by his sweat a couple times. Gross, yet cool at the same time. At the end, I got to touch Manabe's arm, Shin-chan smiled and waved at me and the few people near me and gave me a high five, and I shook Jun's hand. I got my shirts before, too, and two keychains. All in all, it was great.

I was up front, basically the last person on the right of the stage. I had a black jacket and yellow shirt. I couldn't really see anyone, but the guys behind me were talking about TMGE, and they seemed to know a lot about Jrock and crap.
BTW what's up with the nekodokuro shirt only coming in small and extra large? That kind of pissed me off.

ah, i guess i couldnt see you, i was front center so yeah. Was the shirt your talking about the skull with the cats one? that was the one shirt i didnt get.
EDIT: i forgot to say this and i'm not sure if anyone mentioned this. But they were only selling the FLCL 1 and 2 CDs, and Penalty life. That was pretty surprising to me.

Mina? She was def cool.
I got Sawao to autograph a page, and manabe's pick. My other friend got 2 and gave one to Mina.
I was the kid in the front with a hat and glasses. So yep.
