You're a Supercar fan, snigwel? Epic win. Did you get the 10th Anniversary releases?
Unfortunately not... so I guess I lied when I said entire discography. woops. I need to get me that, not to mention some supercar vinyl. Did you know they put out some really rare vinyl versions of OOYeah!! and Ookeah!! ? I just found out, and man would I love to have that spinning on my crappy record player - or better yet, a new, not-crappy record player.
English majors tend to drink instead of listen to Supercar, but the principle's the same.
Well, I am and English (/Japanese) major, just the kind that doesn't drink. Though ya, I suppose the principle is the same :ロ/
Actually I suppose I'm technically still a CS major, but that interest transitioned from my major to my job a number of years ago. Man, I really should finish that major change paperwork...

There's a guy in Tekken named Jun, ffs.
So apparently "suzuki" means "bass" in Japanese? The delicious fish, not the musical instrument.

funny coincidences for the win!
Anyways, I thought the real reason was because he's not an official member and they still don't want to replace Ueda. I still think Jun deserves to be official by now though...

That doesn't keep something from being a funny coincidence.

Except there's no coincidence, as his name doesn't mean bass. That's like seeing the word would and the word wood, and saying oh what a coincidence, one of them comes from a tree, how funny.

disagree. for one thing Japanese has been around for longer than the kanji used to write it, and there are words that have the same same root though are written with completely different kanji for a variety of reasons. I assume that this isn't one of them, but still, I think that it can be worthy of the 'funny coincidence' moniker. The coincidence would be greater if his name actually meant bass, but it is still a coincidence that his last name's pronunciation is the same as a japanese word who's english counterpart's pronunciation is the same as the instrument he plays.

That makes sense. I don't think that was exactly how the other people were seeing it though.
