if they do, then i will join you. my original plan was to attend ACEN just for the pillows because there was still no show for LA (this was like 4 days ago). i would've saved up money for the entire month of april. but the show will mess up my studying for finals, which occurs after ACEN.
When bands play a shed (club), that's not at all unusual.
Um, clubs aren't sheds. Sheds are bigger than theaters but smaller than arenas and stadiums. I sometimes hear them referred to amphitheatres.
The "WHY ARE YOU GUYS PLAYING 21+ SHOWS!!!" thing is sort of irritating. Most of the very small clubs are 21+. People have to realize that the Pillows can't just appear on the U.S. scene and start playing big ticket clubs and theaters. I hope that this tour allows them to do that next time though. The Pillows really do deserve popularity in the U.S. beyond the "OMG FURIKURI" crew.

Umm excuse me sir, I don't who you've been talking to but a shed is slang for a rock club, not an ampitheater.

at the LA, they are playing for 30 minutes. the fold (people sponsoring the show) have a time break down of all the bands playing. noodles goes on at 11:35 i think. remember this show is the Japan Girls Night show. that is why they are playing first and for only 30 minutes.

They're playing for 30 mins at Pianos, it's a fact so deal with it. They have those other bands serving as headlining acts because why would a japanese band be able to draw that big of a crowd to headline? No one knows them and they're mearly seen as an exotic novelty or something. It's pretty lame, but that's the way things work in AMERICA, ie. NOT JAPAN.

As far as I know, it's the official music business term for an amphitheater. Google seems to back me up here.

I've also heard touring musicians use refer to sheds in this way. Then again, it could be some dumb business thing that has no relevance in the real world whatsoever. I'm sort of curious about this now.

I would think that since they're headlining the Knitting Factory, that they'd be playing for at least an hour. That being said, I've written to the K/F asking about the set times. I should be getting a response in at least a day.
